But it is pretty ridged as another review states. Still hate the cutout for the camera button though I have gotten more used to it and use it frequently. I really don’t like that if I squeeze the sides of the case that I can feel it give and pop. Makes me think that it doesn’t actually fit the phone just right. I still really like how it looks and generally feels though I still like last year’s FlexPro a LOT better. I think the Flex Pro with a colored edge (it was the only part the discolored after a year of use so making it a color instead of it turning brownish would have been better) would be about perfect for me. First, it is my fault looking back at the images but I would have sworn before the case arrived that the buttons were red. And, while I like the orange and would have certainly still ordered the case I really thought the were red. LOL Silly me. First impressions is that I still like the FlexPro Tech21 case I had for my 15 PM better. But, sometimes while I like change if I really like a thing it takes a little while for the new one to grow on me. I do think that this one is barely noticeable as thicker (though I think it is) for the double drop protection it is supposed to offer over the previous case. The mechanical buttons all work very well. I will say that with the thicker case I do wish they had provided one of the Sapphire overlays for the Camera button. I will get used to this also as it is functional but the button sits so far down in the cutout that it is a little hard to access. That does mean that it will be harder to accidentally access, but in the almost three weeks I have had the phone with a temp case (ESR very thin) I did not have any issues with accidental accesses of the Camera button. I tested the case magnet with my bedside MagSafe charger and as expected the magnet is nice and strong just like the FlexPro was. :) So I am sure it will also work very well on my desk chargers and in the car... (I do NOT use the charger in the car as a stand but rather have it built into the dash tray to lay the phone on.) The lanyards are nice and it is nice that they give you two (the FlexPro only came with one) but in this case one is Black for those who don't want to be too flashy and the other is Orange to match the buttons (this is one I will be using). They are also a good bit thicker cord than the one that came with the FlexPro should that be either a plus or a minus for you personally. Good camera protection and very little case rocking even though this kept the case thin enough to be comfortable and work well with MagSafe. And for those of us that mostly charge with MagSafe the USB C cover is nice (again much like the one that was on the FlexPro). Easy to open when you want to but the port is protected most of the time. OF course if you really don't like this it would be easy enough to slice off with a good sharp knife. Just note that in order for it to work well (open easily and provide good access) the back of the cover connects very close to the back of the case so you port protection without it (while I think it would be fine) would be less than on some medium protection level cases. The edges of the case are on the thicker side (again I don't think much thicker if any than the FlexPro) but for me that is a plus as I have very large hands. Using the Thin ESR case for the last few weeks has been less than comfortable for me. That case was slick to the touch so I was always afraid that would drop the phone and that the case would not do a great job protecting it from that drop. Luckily that didn't happen. But, anyways... Good cutouts, excellent buttons, good grip, great lanyards, good camera protection, not too think back... I do wish that the buttons and lanyard were red instead of orange but that is my fault and I also like orange so in a week I may prefer this color. And, my ONLY true gripe is the camera button cutout. I am VERY glad that they didn't cut it fully to the front of the case like some are doing, but I do wish they would have spent the money for a sapphire cover in order for it to NOT feel so deep. (Minor gripe though.) I think this is a GREAT case.... On that note. Buy this case but buy it from Amazon or another 3rd party. I first attempted to buy it from Tech21.com. I ordered on 9/10 with notes that it would ship on 9/20 (not great but communicated). I finally was able to cancel that order today after a TrustPilot review and a Bank fraud case, but I am still waiting for the actual refund.
