Comfort and style but not waterproof
These DM's are comfortable straight out of the box, no need to break-in. A couple of niggles, first off they are not in any way waterproof. A short dog walk in the rain proved that very quickly. The other niggle is the velcro strap at the top is a bit fiddly but once you get used to it it's ok and is great addition to stop the laces coming undone, no need to double-bow with this handy addition and gives a good combat look and feel to the boot. I'd say these sit more on the fashion side rather than practical combat/walking boots.

The most comfortable Doc Martens ever
Over the last 5 years I’ve tried at least a half dozen Docs out there and these are by far the most comfortable right out of the box. No more cardboard insoles or laces coming untied. They have some sort of padding inside which makes them out of the box comfortable. Plus they have an adjustable strap which covers the laces. No more running down the hall and the laces end up tripping you. I now have a 6 inch boot I can wear with anything. Needless to say I got rid of the cardboard insoles. I now have 2 of them and love them.
