My waist is 35w so 36w are usually too big. The elastic waist band allows me to wear a 34w with comfort. The multiple belt loop keeps the pants from sagging like some pants with only 5 loops. The numerous pockets hold various items and the D rings on the front loops are useful for attaching retractable lanyards. Even though the cargo pockets can hold a cell phone, my phone tend to fall into a horizontal position where I prefer a vertical alignment. There is a vertical pocket but not deep enough to securely hold the phone.

I got these for working in a warehouse with no A/C. I wanted pants that have some stretch in the fabric, have ripstop fabric, and also have breathability. These pants hit all the nails on the head. I wasn't thinking of the elastic waist when ordering them, but am glad for it now that I have it. I'm also happy with the many pockets and their placement. They are very comfortable for cargo pants. My only complaint is that the shortest inseam they sell is 30". I'm a 28" inseam, but that's rare across all brands so I won't hold it against them. I've already ordered a second pair in the Green Kelp color. We'll see how durable they are in time. I'll try to update the review down the line.

The waistband feels a bit stiff at first but breaks in over time. A solid option for anyone needing reliable tactical-style pants without overpaying.
