Rustoleum Color Shift Spray Paint, 11 ounce, Cosmos Blue

Only works on a black background, but it's so pretty!

Gorgeous, but use care. ALWAYS use black base coat. I tested without the black base and it was just a yucky shade of gray. So I used the base and the color was gorgeous but the surface was bubbled/pitted in some areas. Consulted AI and it seems that a normal spraying method just won't do. I didn't paint heavily - I'm very careful - but this paint requires multiple, very thin mistings. Wish I'd known this before! So I'm going to strip the paint, use the base and paint again. It's a beautiful color so is worth it to me.

This paint is amazing as most all Rust-oleum products are. Side note, they specify using a black paint for a base, black primer is different than black paint and will yield different results. Black gloss gives you a deeper look but takes more coats. I did notice a side effect of the paint as it sprays it actually produces small fine hair like strands as it leaves the can and acts like small pet hair. Can be easily removed with light wet sanding. The finish is awesome and color change is a conversation starter. Im super picky and have to remind myself im using and aerosol can and not painting a Ferrari. Results are pretty good.

I read the other reviews where it said to spray over a dark or black paint. Yes, this is how this paint works. If you follow the instructions on the can you wont be disappointed. Its a very nice finish that is quick to dry.

This paint looks amazing. We live in a coastal area so I used this to refresh an old outdoor planter we’ve had for years. It looks amazing
