as described, a good book for a DIY guy to get him/her started in designing your own, its more of a idea/concept of design book and not full of the details that someone without a clue may need..... but then again they would bugger it up even if they had detailed instructions good value for money

Was most complete of the books I looked at. It was well illustrated and written for easy understanding and use.

pictures plan very interesting easy read great price/deal gave to my husband so he can build it only been waiting 2 yrs for him to get started but I still like thumbing through it

There were not too many books on the market when I decided to build my own barbque. This book helped me understand what I was getting myself into, but it fell short of giving me all the information I needed for my project. But it was a good resource. 3 out of 5 stars!

Easy to follow instructions with gorgeous pictures. Many project ideas.

Good information. Came on time but had significant water damage to the top third of nearly every page. It is readable, but I would not have advertised this as a book in good condition.

I'm about to start work building an outside kitchen and bought this as a thought-starter an to get some advice on design aspects. I'd anticipated a text with practical advice on where to site a kitchen, the key design considerations and how to integrate different kinds of barbecue and sink and so on. This book is basically an account of about 15 specific barbecue projects - if one of them is exactly what you want to do, then great, but if you want some broader advice it's not so useful.

I thought that the book would content lots of different projects for building a barbecue, but there only a few of them. We were very disappointed :-(
