The very first playing cards appeared in Eastern Asia. In Korea and China, the earliest mention of playing cards goes back to the 12th century CE. No one really knows how playing cards came to Europe, but it is believed that the route they took was as follows: China - Persia - India - Egypt - Europe. Playing cards are first mentioned in Europe in the XIV century - the chronicle of the city of Bern, Switzerland alludes to them in its records for the year 1367.This full card deck consists of 55 playing cards, including two jokers, and is suited for virtually all card games.

I received these cards much sooner than expected. The art work on these cards is outstanding! I love the bridge size. I am a card reader and I am very picky about the cards that I use. These cards are wonderful. I would have given a five star rating if the cards were a bit less flexible. That being said, these cards are so unique and lovely. I would strongly recommend them.!
