Vocabulary Workshop ©2011 Level Green (Grade 3) Student Edition

My son is going to 3rd grade and I purchased this book to prevent the summer slip. I really love the way it's set up. It is pretty easy for my son to use without me but he's already in a summer mindset so I stay and attempt to keep him focused. I love that it gives several definitions of the same word and then you put the word in a sentence and identify the synonyms and antonyms. Each Unit is about 10 pages, so that is 10 pages of the same words to it really gives you an opportunity to get the comprehension down. Overall, I love it and can't find a downside.

I looooove this book and will buy every grade level for my children. I used the same series when I was in 6th grade and sought it out when I decided to home school. These workbooks gave me a fantastic base of vocabulary.

I ordered this book for my son who I feel could you some extra help in vocabulary. Each chapter has about 10 words the student is exposed to. The student is challenged to do various activities with the words throughout the chapter. There is also a web based supplement that helps to review the words. My son is motivated by the layout of the book and the work on the computer. He has started to use his new words in conversation and in his writing. Really pleased with this product.

Used for school

This year I was moved to third grade from kindergarten. I needed materials I could use in the classroom. Teacher Pay Teacher gets expensive and although some activities are cute they are not always great quality. I have been impressed with the quality of material in this book. It is easy to match the standards I am trying to teach.

Got this for my 3rd grader to help prepare for 4th grade. Had the same brand of workbook when I was in school years ago and very glad to see the same format still being used. Truly helps to build a strong vocabulary.
