Can this product be used to step down power from a 50a only rv park receptacle to a 30a rv?

I have some basic understanding of AMP supply and demand and the role of RV's breaker panel. One additional question: Does a 30AMP surge protector help improving protecting the 30AMP RV that is hooked up to a 50AMP shore power outlet via 50 AMP to 30 AMP adapter? (Just to add I am running a 15000BTU 20AMP Coleman AC that has a RV Soft Start unit installed. I am hoping that the AC is only drawing under 10AMP with the help of soft start). There is one AC unit only. Thanks Again.

What is the wiring of this? Do the 2 120V hot connect through to the 30A female? Or is one of them just not connected? Making sure it won't be 240V.

I just plug my camper cord into it and then plug into the 50 amp receptacle. Kepthaving problems with the 25 amp breaker tripping.
