Blade Testing Safety Razor: Parker Variant OC Brush: Parker Arctic Storm (Synthetic) Shaving Cream: Proraso (White) Having started my Safety Razor and DE Blade journey recently, I started with a fan favorite Blade to learn on which was Astra Superior Platinum (Green) Blades. Though they are really good for the price and offer great shaves, I found myself wanting something more sharp and comfortable once I felt like I mastered the Astras. With my skin type, I felt like Astra would leave ever so suttle dark stubble that would require more than 2+ Passes to get rid of epsecially on top of my lip under my nose. I prefer finishing my entire shave in 2 Passes for time efficientcy (While shaving With Grain at a setting 4/3.5 out of 5, on my Parker Variant OC, then finishing with Cross/Against Grain on Setting 3 or 2.5). The Astra just couldn't cut down enough consistently without either nicking me at least once every other day or requiring me to utilize more time than I would like on certain area. (Again, this could be definitely be my own personal human error and not stretching skin properly, etc.) But it still stands, Astra made me sit at the counter top just a litte bit longer than I would like to spend shaving. It's no rush of course in the Wet Shaving community, and you should take your time and enjoy the shaving process, it's an art afterall. But somedays, I don't want to be an artist and I just gotta go! Feather Blades was a night and day difference off the first shave. It felt like a lightsaber. At first I almost didn't know if it was even shaving (3 Day Growth) with how smooth and gentle the first pass felt. There was no snagging at all, but it was cutting. Going against the grain with it felt extremly safe and easy as well. I had zero knicks (which was unexpected as I thought I'd hurt myself moving up to a S Tier Class Blade for the first time). But sometimes things that are sharper, are indeed safer and more comfortable. But this truly depends on your skin type. I know my skin, and knew something sharper, would indeed give me the BBS Results I was looking for abd make my overall shave quicker and and more comfortable. I will definitely be paying that extra bit of premium for higher quality blades like Feather moving forward, with Persona GEM next on my radar.

These are the sharpest and the longest lasting blades made. I normally can get 2 shaves in from my usual astras which are also good but no comparison to the feathers as I just got 4 shaves out a blade which is a first for me. The price difference makes sense to use the feathers as I just ordered another 50 pack.

These blades are amazingly sharp. I got my razor from Walmart and I honestly it worked very well, it was a $16 van de Hagen razor that came with a pack of its own blades, the tool was great the only problem was I’d get razor burn after shaving sometime. so I went with these blades because while looking through multiple brands of blades there was always a few reviews on each saying how good these blades were; and after using these the review were more than right the shave on these were so fine I didn’t even feel my beard being shaved it was just gone. not to mention with my previous blades I’d have to go over again to get all the micro stubble with these it got it all in one go.if anyone is second guessing getting these I say take the leap and be pleasantly surprised.

This Feather blade is absolutely superior to all other razor blades, and I've given a lot of them a very fair try. I've probably gone through 100+ Astra blades, 100+ Lord-sub-brand types, and other assorted 'mixed' packs. These other brands do fine but on my face quickly dull after a bunch of passes so that on some days I need 2 razor blades to finish the job (you can tell it's dulled out especially as it won't even cut your longer soft neck whiskers, whereas a sharp one instantly cuts it). Feather blades 100% pass this test - every single one I've used is still sharp enough after cutting my hard whiskers down to still cut all the soft long hairs on my neck. It's the only brand I've used that does this. It does cost more than the others, but it's worth it to me.

The Feather Razors are the best double edge razor I have used. I pair it with a very mild safety razor head for beginners: King C. Gillette. It is very easy to remove hair as I tend to get fairly clean passes even when I have an abundance of hair they just glide right through. Most of the negative reviews seem to be people cutting themselves on accident which with proper form or an easier head that isn't an issue, or being unable to cut which I quite frankly don't know how as these are fairly sharp razors. Potentially they're using an even milder safety razor head? If you have sensitive skin these razors are more sharp, so be mindful of potential skin irritation. I personally prefer a sharp razor as less passes for me results in overall clearer skin.

I am a beginner with shaving with a safety razor (Henson AL13) so, I was researching the ways to make the irritation less. These blades were suggested and sure enough they seem to cut easier with a lot less burning than the blades that came standard. I recommend this product and think the result is worth the money.

These are some of the best blades I've ever used in my life. My only complaint is that the amount of wax used on the wrapping of each blade is too excessive and makes them slightly difficult to get out of the paper. You have to be very cautious not to cut yourself when unwrapping them.

This review is for: Vikings Blade, Godfather Shaveology Shaving Cream Shaveology After Shave Shaveology Pre-Shave oil Feather, double Platinum blades I have been using an electric shaver for almost 9 years now. I got tired of the expensive blades for disposables and fast and easy was good for me at the time. I had 3 different shavers over the years. The last one, I have had about 6 years. They changed the blades on them 2 or 3 years ago. I dint ind the change but it always felt like I could feel the blades scraping my skin each time. It also did not get very close of a shave. I had been thinking of changing to wet shaving for a long period of time. Well its time for a new cartridge ~100.00, so nows the time to switch. I made the switch using a mail order service. After 4 shaves I hated it. The products were ok and were very citrus and refreshing but I did not like the razor itself and it was just not “there” So I ordered the Godfather blade by Viking. This thing is AMAZING! I love the weight to it, I feel like I’m holding something substantial and feel more confident its not going to slide out of my hands and slice my throat open. I also switched to Feather Blades. I figured if I want close and precise might as well go all in. I must confess, when I put on the feather blade, I had prepped towels for the presumes carnage, but there was none. The blades and this viking blade system, just floated over my skin and I could barely feel it doing anything, but it was! So I have very happy with the blades and the razor. The Shaveology products are very nice. I LOVE the scent. Its very guy scented, almost cologne smelling and it just has such a great clean feeling without smelling too young and too old. (so hard to explain) but its great. The pre-shave oil is nice and thick and puts on a good layer. Letting it soak on for about 2-3 minutes while you prep the shave cream and your brush makes it better. The shave cream was weird for me as its a more dry cream and the last one I used was a little more wet. I did not use my bowl and instead put a little bit on the brush directly and applied it. It took about 15 seconds but started turning into such a creamy almost yogurt like consistency. It felt really nice!!! Shaving was very pleasant, as I mentioned above, its just super smooth and feels nice. The post shave balm is where its at though. I can’t say enough about this. The smell, the feel, and the feel on my face afterwards. I am still a noob at wet shaving this way so irritation is still present as I am getting the technique down pat. This soothes the face very well and leaves you refreshed. Overall I love all of these products and would recommend any of them to anyone. Update::: Man these things are no joke. I got "heavy handed" and when I say that I mean, just above the pressure exuded by the DE shaver. Well, carnage ensued. My god this things are SHARP. Got the side of my mouth and my upper lip pretty good. Looked like I murdered someone in the bathroom haha. It was rough. So be careful. If you are just starting out, these may not be for you.

These are the best razor blades you can buy. Seriously don't even bother wasting your time and money on other brands. I bought one of those 10-different-brand variety packs to try out what's out there and Feather is the best. Feather is the sharpest and also lasts the longest. Comes as a pack of 5x 10 blades. I am using them with a Henson medium razor and I have thick black brown guy hair.

Gives a good shave. You can trust this Japanese brand.
