Seward Explorer Trunk with Wheels & Lock, Gray, 30-Inch

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Ordered for my son’s first time at sleep away camp. He immediately opened it and started decorating the outside with stickers. The wheels make it very easy to move. Great purchase and well made. I think he will have this for years to come!

Easy to store stuff in. No assembly required. Looks nice and sturdy. Have not used it in the rain. So I don't know if it's waterproof.

Bought this for a dorm room and it will be great for what we wanted it for. There are a lot of pro's to this Steward foot locker. First, it has wheels which will be great considering the number of places it will be moved in and out of in the upcoming years. It has very sturdy sides (a complaint of many similar inexpensive foot lockers is that the side panels cave easy). While I am not sure if you could sit on it, it would at least make a nice coffee table you could put your feet up on. The color is great and it is lined with a contact paper kind of substance (not rough wood). There is no odor to it at all. It is a nice size with good height. Has a strap in front and a strap on the right (where you would pull it on wheels which are on the left). You can lock it two different ways in addition to just latching it shut. The latches on the ends seem very sturdy. The only con I can see is the built in lock-which isn't dysfunctional, but just flimsy in my opinion. The built in lock comes with 2 keys and a plastic locking component which wouldn't take much to snap apart/break in my opinion (no, it hasn't broken yet). There's a little black switch that you have to push down to open and then a little black keyhole to "lock" it using their aluminum key. If someone really wanted in this trunk, they could probably get in with a screwdriver. But then again, you could also just wheel the whole thing off in the first place. I plan on using the second type of lock which is to use my own padlock to physically join the lid to the locker. This way I don't have to worry about losing a key either. All in all, very happy with the purchase given the pricing and sure it will have much use in the dorm room.

I bought this to store cases of nail polish and other large nail appliances (i.e.: uv light) that will not fit in my cosmetics train. I love that it has wheels making it easy to store on its side and more around. It does seem a little flimsy but you get what you pay for. I doubt it will stand up to a ton of weight and movement over a long period of time but if your using it for clothing or stationary storage it will definitely last. I gave it five stars because other trunks went for over $200. I'd expect something solid for that price. For $75, I got exactly what I was expecting which is why I gave it 5 stars. To others reviewing, I don't know what they expected for such a low price but if you do some research, this is pretty good quality for the price it's sold for.
