Howard set out to solve this dilemma: how can you eliminate blemishes in wood finishes and restore the original color and luster without removing any of the existing finish? Unable to find an answer at his local hardware store, he went to work in his garage to create his own product. His goal was to make something that would be much more than a surface treatment, yet nothing like a stripper or a refinisher. Remember, however, that as soon as it dries completely, you need to treat the entire surface to a good waxing...this is a restorative and not wood protection. For that, you need a good quality wax. **Q: will this remove softned finish from a pine desk top or watermarks from cabinet doors?** A: It won't remove the finish it wont strip the finish. It will blend with the existing finish and create a Restoration of the existing finish. Watermarks yes....as you read the product description I believe, there is mention of watermarks.
