Amazon Basics Full Synthetic Motor Oil - 0W-20 - 5 Quart, 160 fl oz (Pack of 1)

This oil is manufactured be Warren oil. They also make Walmart's brand. It is the very same oil. Lab testing shows that this oil is so close to Mobile One it is indiscernible. It really does not make sense to pay over $10 more for a brand name. I did notice that the Walmart version has two, one rated for 10,000 and another rated for 20,000 miles. Amazon does not give any mileage rating, however, Amazons price is the same as Walmarts price for the 20,000 mile version. I am obsessive about oil chg intervals so I change mine every 2500 miles or 3months which ever comes first. I know 2500 miles is quite unnecessary, but I do it anyway. My Mazda 3 is almost ten yrs old and everything still works. I absolutely have not had any problems of any kind with this vehicle and it still runs like when it was new. Totally recommend this motor oil.

I have been a fan of Mobil 1 oil (such as the Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 Full Synthetic , and for previous vehicles used Mobil 1 0W-40 Full Synthetic for years. That is a great fully synthetic motor oil, but it is pricey even when you get a good deal on it. Alternatively, I have used the Genuine Subaru SOA427V1315 Motor Oil , but only on my 2018 Subaru Outback which is still under warranty. The Subaru oil is expensive - both at the dealer and on Amazon - and comes in 1 gallon (4 qt.) container which is too small. When I saw that AmazonBasics came out with an equivalent, I was excited to give it a try. I did some research and found that this oil has all of the approvals (dexos1 Gen 2, API SN, ILSAC GF-5, etc.) that you would expect from a full-synthetic motor oil. So far I have used this oil for two changes on my 2013 Subaru Forester. That vehicle takes just over 5 qt. of motor oil, which makes life really simple! All I do is empty the entire 5 qt. container in through the funnel and then check the level after driving off the ramps. If it is low, I crack into one of the single quart bottles. I have yet to notice any difference in driving, noise, power or fuel economy. I highly recommend this oil, as it is a great product at the lowest price - a win-win! My only gripe is that they do not (yet) offer this as a Subscribe-and-Save product.

I've been using this oil for a couple years in my Dodge Durango STX. 3.6 liter v-6. No issues, saving money. I like the auto ship program, I don't need to remember to order the oil. I like that the oil come in a box with 6 quarts, same as what the Durango needs. No buying a 5 quart jug then having to buy separate and expensive quart. I try to keep a box (of 6 quarts) on hand at all times so when the oil change is needed I'm ready to to go. I put about 25K miles a year, so I've done roughly 10 oil changes with this stuff. While your at it, order a good filter, I like WIX. Don't cheap out on the filter or push the mileage between changes. I go 5k, it makes it easy to remember when to change the oil. I also keep a piece of the filter box with the number on it and write the date and miles, then toss in the car folder to refer to incase I forget the mileage when I last changed the oil.

Orderd 2 jugs for the 0W20 for my 2018 Silverado 4x4 and have not had any regrets or buyers remorse. Used to buy Mobil-1, but after watching a few reviews on Youtube comapring it to Mobil-1 and other top motor oils, I decided to give it a shot. I absolutly do not regret it. I paired the oil with an ACDelco filter and it been 3 mnths running and running perfect. I usually change out my oil every 3 or 4 mnths, and do the oil changes myself, so I am due to for an oil change this month. I will be using Amazon Basics Full Synthetic and I am going to use this motor oil on my other cars I own. This is very good motor oil, but if you want to find out for yourself watch the reviews and comparison videos on Youtube.

I have slowly switched from Pennzoil Premium full synthetic to Amazonbasics Synthetic oil in both of my cars. Many reviewers have mentioned the trouble with the bottle not being transparent such that it allows measurement of the remaining oil. This is especially important to me because my wife's car (Toyota Sienna) uses 6 quarts of oil and my Camry uses 4 quarts of oil. Together we use exactly ten quarts, which is two five quart bottle if this oil. So in other words it important for me to measure and collect the correct amounts of oil so it all comes out evenly in the end. Simply enough I just use a graduated cylinder which I have readily available. Anyone can just buy a graduated pitcher here on amazon. I've always been the type of person to buy the cheapest motor oil of the correct grade, and change it every 5000 miles, whether it needs it or not. I always use OEM filters. I keep my cars forever or until they fail the state safety inspection due to incurable rust, whichever comes first. Usually I get about 20 years. My thinking is that motor oil is a commodity, and as long as the stuff I buy is the right grade and meets the standards specified by the manufacturer, there's no point paying for a prettier package or fancy brand name. In my experience, clever marketing and magic potions aren't going to make your car last longer. The current ride (2018 Toyota Highlander) is my first car that calls for synthetic oil, so I've been using this stuff. What can I say? It goes in clean, no measurable amount gets burned, and 5000 miles later it comes out dirty and gets recycled. I average 26.8mpg, which is kind of mind blowing for a big heavy thing like the Highlander. If you've got a practical mindset like I do, buy this stuff - or something cheaper, if you can find it. If you are superstitious or gullible, go on buying your favorite more expensive brand if it makes you feel better, but know that you're probably wasting your money.
