Does this Mandolin come with a hard case?

It came with a soft bag. As a warning to you, I took it to a guitar shop to have it set up. According to them, it was in storage long enough that it will always be a half step higher or lower than it is sopposed to be. ( I cant rememer why, I think it had something to do with neck being slightly warped?). The guitar store said it perfectly fine for a beginner but probably not good for an experienced musician. We didn't return it because my husband is starting at day 1 and wouldn't notice the difference

No case comes with the mandolin. It is shipped in a box, and while it is well-protected for shipping, does not include carrying case.

Is it installed with strap pegs?

There is a knob at the base of the body. Need to tie off above the neck.

The mandolin is ready to play out of the box (after tuning it several times). I'm sure there is more that a luthier could do to perfect it for performance quality, but the action is nice and the sound is great as it comes.
