Dishwasher safe or not?

I always wash my peelers/slicers, of any kind by hand. So I cannot say if it is dishwasher safe. These peelers keep their sharpness better if they do not go through the dish washer.

Other than papaya, what do you use this for?

Nothing else. I only use it to make my green papaya salad, and it is very good. Very happy with it. Does the job.
