Smeg BCC01TMPUS Fully Automatic Coffee Machine, Taupe

I purchased one, it broke. I returned it and reordered, the next one broke. The is absolutely no support from Smeg, and if you bought it from here then there is no warranty since this is not an authorized Smeg dealer. The coffee tasted fine, but insanely overpriced and is an absolute piece of garbage. You’re better off flushing your money down the toilet.

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I encountered with the Smeg BCC01TMPUS fully automatic coffee machine in Taupe that I recently purchased. The machine was received on January 24th, 2024, and unfortunately, there was a voltage discrepancy between Europe (110V) and Egypt (220V) which led to a short circuit and the failure of a crucial spare part. It is evident that the machine, designed for 110V, was inadvertently subjected to 220V, resulting in an electrical malfunction. I have attached a photo of the spare part that requires replacement, which is essential for restoring the functionality of the coffee machine. I have reached out to SMEG company directly to inquire about purchasing this component and to resolve the issue. However, I was informed that the spare part is not available and there is no spare parts service provided for this particular model. I am surprised and disappointed that such an essential spare part is not available, especially considering the reputation of Smeg for quality and reliability. It is disheartening to have paid for a product that cannot be utilized due to a lack of support in providing the spare part nor providing a solution or alternative course of action for the issue.

Well. Set this up per instructions. Excited for my first cup with awesome beans. First cup….nothing. Hmmm. Second cup, nothing and then we saw the water all over the countertop. No even coffee…just water. needless to say, sending it back. Don’t need a $900 pretty water leak on my counter….already ruined my books that were next to it.

The filter is placed ( attached with screws) in an oblique position, not under the hole where the coffee falls and the coffee was falling outside. Unable to work. Definitely unprofessionally manufactured.
