Decent code reader
Very easy to use, plugged it in and took a minute to find my abs code number. Should have read the manual first to make using it easier and faster.

Want to know the problem before the shop trip
I want to know what the approximate problem and bill might be before I head to the shop. Their is a chance I might be able to fix it myself, mostly not on modern vehicles. So after reading a mixed bag of reviews and having 3 cars built in this century, I still expected some code issues. What attracted me here was the advertised 'community' OBD-2 support. Users and 'expert' participation appeared to be pretty dang good. Code readers and symptom prognosticators have been the most helpful when I get strange signals. The most important reason I tried it was the "Cannot Duplicate" or "Situational under power" irregularities my static reader can't detect. You can roll around town with this unit and see real time status. It doesn't create a data collection that can be analyzed after say a day. Now, I could be wrong on this. It's still an exploration for me and I might find a way to download data on a thumb drive and play back dynamic data collection on a PC.Bottom-line, it's an order of magnitude superior to my 5-7 year old code reader.

Good for basic code reader
Reads OBD-II to replace an old OBD-I reader. The website and ability to link USB to the reader is nice as well. This is a code reader and the website will give some repair suggestions, but is not as useful as a true factory scanner. It does give a proper indication of diagnostics that can be explored further in a google search. Overall, the tech support and online help was good although somewhat cumbersome to use.

Don't plan on updating or 'upgrading'
Innova claims you can upgrade these. Even offered a free upgrade. But we tried on 2 different PC to download and run their software 'repair solutions'. You have to almost disable windows defender to get it to download, then the program wont even RUN! Says there is an 'undhandled exception, contact technical support'. I did, they tell me it's a problem with MICROSOFT! Umm i'm sorry, but if my operating systems is telling me something is wrong, then your program wont run on the operating system it's designed for on 2 different PCs, it's not the operating systems fault. Esp since this is the only program that will not run. Stop shucking the problem off and fix your worthless software!

Easy to use!
My son's 2003 Honda had the check engine light on awhile and I kept telling him to get it looked at. This item arrived and I thought that would be the perfect time to test it. I let him hook it up and run it, it threw five error codes. He took it to the shop and it turns out they were correct: the car needed a new catalytic converter and a couple of hoses under the hood were leaking (causing compression error). For things that we can do at home this is a handy tool and I'm very pleased with it.

Not as advertised - not even on manufacturers web site.
I wanted this primarily to diagnose SRS issue with a 2017 fiesta. Received the unit. followed instruction and updated, or at least tried to, the unit. error message, called tech support they stated it was because it had the the latest update. plugged this unit into car and the car menus only went up to 2015 for all makes. the website clearly says this unit is good to 2018 and can provide live data and reset abs/srs. i cry foul.. $200 and its no better than a 14 bluetooth OBD2 module and a free app. Amazon refunded, product was a waste of time.
