Very easy, Mild is super-tasty & seems very authentic. Zero heat, good for kids & non-heat-lovers.
I used to go get Japanese curry beef bowls for lunch from the hot-food counter at Seattle-area Uwajimaya grocery stores. I always loved that stuff. They don't seem to have curry bowls anymore and that made me sad, but this tastes pretty much identical to what I remember, so I'm pretty chuffed.I got both Mild and Medium packets. I haven't tried the Medium yet. The Mild is very mild indeed, not something I think anyone would call spicy. It's got lots of tasty, flavorful spices in it, but not the hot kind. Great for kids and people who either don't like/want spicy food, or are new to spicy food. It's really easy to make. I heat some beef chunks, either cut up small or blobs of lean ground chuck, in a pan over medium heat, with a little water added so they don't get too browned, until they're just barely still pink. Then I add this packet of sauce+veg, stir it up, set to medium-high and let it bubble basically until the water I'd added boils off, and that's it done. Add to a similar amount of steamed rice you can make in parallel, and you're good to go, maybe 5-7 minutes tops and sooo much better than any frozen microwave meal I could possibly have made in 3-4 minutes. It's a 𝘭𝘪𝘭 bit pricey, I guess, but hey, you get what you pay for in this case, I think.

Good flavor, weird texture/after taste
Tried these after seeing them on The Outdoor Boys channel on YouTube. I like Japanese food but haven't ever had Japanese curry. I like the flavor of these, but they leave a rather odd coating on my tongue. Don't know how to describe it other than that. It's not horribly unpleasant, and I can see this being used as an ingredient or base more to add veggies or meat to instead of using directly over rice, but it's hard to get over. I'll finish what I have but probably not buy again.

A Taste of Japan in Every Pouch!
S&B Curry Sauce with Vegetables Mild has quickly become my go-to for a taste of authentic Japanese curry, conveniently packaged and ready to transform any meal.Japanese curry aficionados will appreciate the perfect balance of flavors in this mild version—it's exactly as it should be, complementing the rich and nice curry taste without overwhelming spiciness. One of the simplest yet incredibly satisfying ways to enjoy it is by pouring it over rice for a quick and comforting meal. But if you're up for a delicious twist, try pairing it with air-fried, breaded chicken cutlets for a budget-friendly, at-home version of chicken Katsu curry. The absence of protein in the pouch opens up a world of possibilities to customize it your way.Yes, it's a bit on the premium side, but trust me, you're paying for the pinnacle of Japanese traditional cuisine and the utmost convenience. The rich flavor of the curry sauce combined with plentiful carrots and potatoes in each pouch makes it a truly worthwhile investment.Preparation is a breeze, and while boiling the pouch in water is my preferred method for optimal heating, I'd advise caution if you opt for the microwave—there's a tendency to bubble up and create a mess.In a rush but craving that authentic Japanese curry experience? S&B Curry Sauce with Vegetables Mild has you covered. It's a flavorful, time-saving solution that brings the heartiness of Japanese curry straight to your table. A must-try for those who appreciate the fusion of tradition and convenience in their culinary adventures!

This stuff is delicious!
I like S&B curry, and this is an easy meal that ticks all the boxes; inexpensive, easy to prepare, and absolutely delicious. We go with the mild version (my days of spicy food are behind me, I’m afraid) and with some freshly made rice, it really hits the spot. The only way it could be more perfect is if you could microwave it directly in the bag (you can’t; don’t try it) but once you empty it into a bowl and heat it up, you’re in business. It’s really good enough to stand on its own as a quick meal, but also makes a great/easy side dish supporting bigger productions (steak, chicken, fish, etc.). Joe Bob would say, “Check it out!”

This is JAPANESE style curry.Put it into the boiled water, or pour into the bowl and microwave it.If you microwave, make sure you put the lid otherwise the potato might pop make a mess inside the microwave.Once it is worm, you can eat with rice or bread.Good stuff

Great to get a meal going.
Delicious curry base. I add vegetables and protein (most recently beef kebabs) and simmer for an hour to produce a quality and tasty homecooked meal. Would recommend.
