high quality - got this because 4 horseman cookbook recommended and they know more than me - that said - we use it all the time with joy and happiness - microplane all day with this little one - come on - do it

My previous few microplanes have all broken. The plastic handled ones do not last. I also tried another metal handles one that came apart at the handle. These are very well made and heavy. The only part i can see failing is the weld points where the blade connects to the handle.

As a microplane fan I actually wore out my old one and the handle snapped off. This is a sturdy replacement.

The wood handle on these microplanes becomes frayed, even with gentle hand washing. I was wondering why I had these Itty bitty splinters in my hand and then I saw the state of the handle, which had been (hand washed only) washed ONE time. I love their other products, so this was very disappointing. The wood needs better finishing during manufacture in order to make this safe and enjoyable to use.

I’m so disappointed, especially that I love the brand, and for how expensive this series is, that the wooden handle is rough and has splinters on it. I expected the finishing on the handle to be of better quality.

Flawless performance and sturdy build.

Replaced a plastic microplane that I've had for 15+ years (and a heavy handed friend broke). Works great, love the rubber end so you can place it on a surface and really press down (no more heavy handed friends breaking this one!). Relatively pricy, but in absolute terms reasonably priced

The blade fell of the handle within 2 days.
