Much better than the expensive stairs
Excellent value and function! Our previous stairs for the 5th wheel were the hefty set that tucked inside when not in use and since they had two feet, they were always at the wrong height, on or off the road. So we got these--the installation was super easy, there was a space specifically for these types of stairs which tuck up underneath the outside of the RV. I can open and shut these with one hand (whimpy lady, here). There's no feet underneath the stair so you don't have to worry about how height a curb is when parking by the road or how high the dirt might be. So much easier!

Perfect fit
The description isn't correct. these steps are 27 1/4 at the top of the step frame. they were a perfect fit for our Cougar ultrlight travel trailer. 3 steps bowed. However, we removed the 4 bolts holding the old steps and supported the steps with 2 concrete blocks. we then folded the steps up and pulled the assembly straight toward us and out. that part was easy. it first appeared that the new steps were slightly wider than the frame they needed to bolt to. after some minutes of frustration we realized the brackets on the trailer angled inward at the bottom and we needed to install the new steps just like we removed the old. so we raised the steps to the height they would bolt in place at and forced them between the mounting brackets. then we got a block of wood and rubber mallet and tapped on each side of the steps frame until the mounting holes began to line up. at this point i used a scratch awl (screwdriver would work as well) and put it through the first hole to pry the steps holes until it lined up. got the first bolt back on, loosely. went to each mounting hole in turn until all 4 bolts were started. Tightened everything down. be sure the sqare base of the bolts seats tightly or you bolts could shear off over time. i had to push up just a but to wiggle 2 of the bolts fully into place. They work great, feel sturdy, and my step tread covers from the old set fit perfectly. we ordered the Lippert step support to attach under the lowest step to hopefully prevent the hinge bracket from breaking, which was the problem in the original steps (trailer was purchased used and one step hinge was already damaged). that part is due to arrive in a day or two. This is definitely a 2 person job, and requires one person to get under the steps/trailer to remove, line up new steps, and tighten the bolts. Removal and installation took about 1 to 1-1/4 hrs total.

great step
Great step with high quality, for a great price. Be sure to look at your old one, customers was welded on, took a torch and a lot of work (not burning trailer). That is not the steps fault. I been doing RV work for 55 yrs, that install is not for the faint of heart. Once installed, it was super stable. Even added the crank down support, but wasn't needed. Customer loved the ease of it rolling out and in. The old style had slots to slide on, and jammed up, DO NOT buy that style.

CHECK THE STAIR RISE
Fit well once the frame brackets were taken off the old steps. Unfortunately the brackets were riveted, but all the holes lined up almost perfectly. My problem was I didn’t check the rise so it’s too high. Will have to exchange with the 9” rise.

Floor Jack Valuable for Installation
We are satisfied with the product, which we thought was an exact replacement. We installed in a 2011 Cameo 5th wheel trailer 34SB3. In the trailer, there were two optional vertical positions for install. I was unable to install in the highest position, choosing instead to bolt in the lower position. This resulted in an ~ 8.5” rise into the trailer off the stairs “OK”. I chocked the inability to hang in the first position due to what I perceived as a lack of squareness in the product manufacturing. I also had to use a Dremel tool to cut a notch into a mounting angle bracket so the top step could fully retract into the trailer well. The stairs are solid and working well now. On our prior stairs, the bottom support cross member welds failed. This unit has improved that portion of the design, which is good.

Do not buy! Bought this durning winter month and couldn't install until Spring to find out return window closed. False advertisement, did not fit like description. Now cannot return items outside of 30 days window.

Perfect replacement for our camper
Great replacement steps for our XLR camper. Fit was perfect, still using them after 2 years and they were fully assembled and hubby said it was easy! Very sturdy, we always add carpet to steps to keep dirt out of camper. Works great!

Excellent quality and fairly easy to install!
Excellent! Make sure to measure your RV before ordering. Mounting bracket is 27.5” wide. This was a perfect fit for my 2019 Puma 28dbfq. Arrived quickly and intact! Thank you!

Shipping dates are not true
The step is ok, a little light in the construction for the price. But the bad review is because of the delivery which was over a week later than the date that was specified, when it was required to be installed 2 days after that date which required us to cancel our plans and hopefully reschedule in the future.
