Soft but holds shape and detail.
This is nice and soft and doesn’t hurt my fingers like the firmer ones do. But it holds its shape.

easy to work
This takes longer to heat up than some other types of clay, but once it softens it’s really easy and smooth to work with. Also it doesn’t have the smell or residue like others

Really soft.
Well... This is a quality clay. I can smash it against things and get a very clear impression. But if I am holding a piece in my hand and adding bits of detail, the thing turns to mush in my hand and I can't really use it for my intended purpose at all. I picked soft because I didn't want it so hard that I couldn't work with it. Based on my reading the details and the reviews of the normal one and this, I thought this would be the thing for me. It very much is a disappointment but at the same time I'm sure it's great for... Something. I feel the quality is there for what it is, so I'm not docking it too many stars but I can't use this. Bummer. Oddly, the packaging says it starts to get soft at 105 degrees F. It starts out soft.

Works as expected
I bought this clay because I needed something meltable and pourable for casting. It has worked very well. I melted it in a glass container in a toaster oven. I didn't have a suitable oven thermometer for gauging the correct temperature so I melted the clay slowly and incrementally until I got the right consistency. Very pleased with it so far.
