Great product
I'm using this with a curb alert and rear-view camera. Both 1080P HD cameras and the quality of the video through this switcher are very good. Can't tell any noticeable difference. The unit I received has a different color code than the images shown in the product description. I found that the video connector and trigger wires come out of the case at the same spot. Not sure why they use different male/female connectors but it was easy to figure out which was video in/out and fire the trigger wires with +12v.

First impression
Haven't installed yet, for testing longevity. However, based on my own ohm and power tests. It works properly. As others have indicated, the instructions are lame. After my testing, the results are in the picture, and should help others.

I purchased this so that I could install a front and rear video camera on my truck. The rear camera comes on when the truck is in reverse or I have switches to turn on either the front or rear camera manually. This item works as described and is very fuctional. My only complaint is the directions may be a bit unclear (think translated chinese) but they do suffice. One other bit of confusion is the manufacturers choice of RCA ends on this relay. Depending on your setup and where you mount his in relation to your head unit go ahead and buy a set of RCA double male & double female adapters. All in all it works just as described.

Did not receive unit as pictured in this listing...
I've spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get this unit to function without success. There were absolutely no pictures, badly written instructions, diagrams, or anything else included in the package, and the wiring colors and configuration is different than what is pictured in the listing and in other reviews. I was able to get the passthrough video to work, but could not get any other video input to function. I have many years experience as an electronics technician and work with this sort of thing daily, and have not been able to find any wiring combination capable of producing desired results. I have attempted to contact the seller for clarification, and I will post updates here.

Works as advertised/ test before use!
Included instructions make great firestarter....(following them - only could ever get one (1) camera input to work)...Follow Peter Robinsons’ instructions in his review - you WILL need female and male RCA gender changers....I had two 12V power plugs in my 2012 Silverado 2500 dashboard- I sacrificed one and added a 3-way switch to feed the “trigger” signal to switch to 2nd camera (or 3rd if I ever need one): I have a 2nd backup camera on a temporary mount with 15 foot / 5 m power & signal extension cable that I can plug in when needed: use it pointed directly at my 5th wheel hitch in bed of truck (standard backup cam is on rear license plate frame)Not sure if it’s because the “Video In” signals are not wired per manufacturer sheet - but the rear plate camera picture has noticeably more “static” now since installing the 3-way switcher - than when compared to when it was plugged directly into AV Receiver with backup screenI also found the RCA connectors seemed ‘loose’ when backup cameras were connected (one was not showing picture during testing): used black electrical tape to make sure connections don’t loosen up when everything is tucked into the dashboard....(From the ‘good old days’ of stereo components: the RCA cable connection cables on the back of receivers / tape decks / phonographs etc used to fit VERY snugly...not my experience here)

Game changer. I had an issue of wiring 4 inputs into my pioneer head unit. Two reverse cameras a dash camera and a AV input. I used this 3 way input to wire the dash camera and both rear cameras into my reverse camera input on my pioneer head unit. now with the flip of a switch I can view my bed camera or licence plate camera. When the switch is powered off the dash camera is the preferred input. With the pioneer unit I have I can still input my iPhone av source cable in the remaining av input. providing me flawless access to all 4 sources.

Works, but needs additional items for my needs.
For my project, I am adding a side view Blind spot camera to my car. I already have a backup camera and radio that will display the video when I put the car in reverse. I wanted the side view camera to turn on automatically when I turned my right turn signal on, and then go off, once the turn signal goes off. To accomplish this, I had to add a few additional things to the video switcher. First off, the signal from the Turn signal was flashing/Intermittent. The signal needed to be a constant DC voltage so the camera would not turn on/off rapidly . I used a small digital timer that had a customizable delayed relay in it. That gave me the constant positive 12V signal I needed to tell the video switcher that the alternate side camera should be on. Now came the problem of telling the Radio to show what the camera is seeing Without putting the car in reverse. Since the radio only has one input for the reverse signal sensor, I added two Diodes to each of the signal wires. then wired them together into the radios reverse signal input. Now when I put it in reverse, the backup camera comes on, When I turn my right signal on, the side camera comes on. (The radio is tricked into thinking its the reverse camera again, the video switcher changes which camera it uses). Now, as for the product itself, It is wired incorrectly as everyone has stated. I popped it open and re soldered the correct female/male ends so I wouldn't have to waste money on gender switchers. It works better now!Hope the diagram helps!
