The descriptions are confusing. they are called 1/4" barbs in one place and 3/16" id hose in another. can you clarify the size?

I received these connectors in the mail today. I don't understand. The barbs appear shorter than the typical ones that screw on. Is it okay to use?

Yes. Ok to use. The screw on style are made for a larger hose, 3/8 in I think. While these are made for a slightly smaller hose, 1/4 in I believe. You could use a smaller 5# gas tank to start, in case there is a leak, so you don’t waste too much finding a leak the hard way. Good luck, Hawaiian Beverage Co.
