Complete Rosary

The setup for this CD is a little different than other rosary CDs I have listened to in the past. Each decade begins with a short verse of Scripture relating to the given mystery, continues with the prayers, and then concludes with the "O my Jesus" and a verse of a song appropriate to that mystery. The background music for each decade (which is at a nice volume, not overpowering the spoken words) is an instrumental of the song that will be sung at the end of the decade. The two vocalists take turns leading the prayers and singing the songs for each decade (they don't alternate within each prayer, only each decade). At first I was a little thrown off by the songs at the end of each decade (instead of just proceeding with the prayers only) but they are really wonderful. They are traditional hymns and include some in Latin as well, like the Regina Coeli. Each rosary takes a little under 25 minutes to complete, which is perfect for a commute. I tend to keep the second CD, which contains the joyful, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries, in my CD player as the first CD only has one set, but they both are nice. This CD has been a wonderful aid in forming better prayer habits!The wonderful added bonus to the fact of this CD including songs for each decade, is how appealing it makes the rosary to children. My children have paid much more attention than I would have expected to the Scripture verses and love to sing "Jesus Christ is Risen Today," "Hail Holy Queen," and so forth, since the repetition makes it easy to learn. A true blessing for those of us who didn't grow up with this devotion as a regular part of our prayer lives but want to cultivate it in our own children.

This is a sweet and sentimental recording at first listen but the vocalists are talented and sincere. It. It's the only recording of the Rosary I own on CD. I have a couple of others as MP3 downloads. This one goes with me in the car and to work. It would make a great gift for an older lady, someone who wants to put their little ones to bed with prayers and gentle music or anyone who likes sweet and gentle entertainment in the vein of Hallmark Movies.

Each morning I drive about 30 minutes to go to Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church. As I drive, I listen and pray the rosary on the CD. I have purchased several other renditions of the rosary on audio CD but I find this one to be the best. The hymns between the decades and background music during the decades enhance without overwhelming the praying activity. I have given about 10 of these albums (The Rosary - The Mysteries of Light) as gifts to members of a prayer ministry group that I belong to. Everyone has enjoyed and commented on how beautiful the CD's are. Praying the rosary while driving your car is a great way to get your daily prayer time in. It definitely prevents road rage in a traffic jamb. I can't think of a more beautiful way to start your day - Rosary and the Mass.

I have a Rosary group at my church, this is the favorite CD of all the ones we use.

I purchased this to say the rosary in the car on my commute. I'm guessing it takes about 25 minutes to get through one rosary. The CD has one disc with the mysteries of light and another disc with the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries.One man and one woman alternate saying each decade. They have pleasant voices and only speak one at a time. This was good for me, because I bought this to replace a rosary cd that I couldn't stand where several people all spoke at once and sounded like robots.My only criticism of the cd is that there is a brief song in between each decade. I find it kind of disruptive to the rhythm of the rosary, that said the songs are likable and the singers have good voices.

This is the most beautiful Rosary on recording I've ever heard! I originally downloaded it on iTunes a few years ago and it's been my favorite ever since. I ordered this additional copy from amazon for my mother since she also enjoys it very much. The background instrumental music is not overly somber or morbid, but is both cheerful and soft. The prayers themselves are not dry or dull sounding, but are prayed with a quality of richness, depth and heartfelt devotion. It's not recited so fast that it's difficult keeping up with, but is prayed at a gentle pace which I find very peaceful and relaxing. Very beautiful, and would probably make a lovely Christmas gift in the future.

I have several different recordings of the Holy Rosary on CD, and this one is right up there as one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I liked this one so much, I bought two more sets and gave them as gifts; needless to say, my timing and taste in choosing this as a gift was right on the money, and the recipients gave me glowing feedback as well.You will not be disappointed with this set; the music is soft and soothing, and the prayers and recitation are evenly paced, with no "droning". You will enjoy this, I am certain.

I use this MP3 version of the Rosary to help me fight un-holy and un-wanted thoughts that assault my mind as I go to sleep.I play it on a 90 sleep timer cycle, and it truly helps combat spiritual warfare attacks.I needed this aid for a long time, and I'm glad God inspired me to seek such a spiritual tool. Many times, repetitive prayers are the only way to remain focused, and reject whatever temptation is trying to entice you. I should have sought this years ago.Thanks.

Fantastic Rosary to pray along with - the singers voices are extra special and have to be heard ! The whole thing lifts you spirit heavenward - it's a must to everyone - enjoy it - it's an investment for your Soul !
