Will this replace Kohler guide (for bypass 3/8 " doors, 3"L x 2"W) and does it have a screw for fastening?

I can confirm the picture is accurate in terms of there being a single screw hole for fastening. The space between the slot closest to the screw hole (and inside of the shower) measures 1/2". The outside slot measures 5/8". The length is 3", but the width is less than 2" (1-9/16" to be exact).

How are the grooves 1/2 inch apart but two grooves is 1 1/2 total width?

The center patrician is oblong so takes up the space. Please review the line drawing at the top left of webpage.

My original guide was secured by adhesive rather than screws so what adhesive do they recommend?

I used screws and adhesive because it lined up with the original hole I feel if you don't have the option adhesive would work great
