Not an Australian USB power adapter now I need to spend more money to buy a USB power adapter

I’ve tried a few different brands of security cameras over the years, and honestly these have been some of the best value for the money. Setup was quick and painless, and the video quality is surprisingly good for the price. Streaming has been smooth and the clarity is more than enough for keeping an eye on things around the house. The Wyze app is also really solid. There are a lot of settings and customization options without feeling overly complicated. I also like that with the Wyze Cam Unlimited subscription, adding more cameras is easy and doesn’t get expensive fast like some other systems. Overall, if you want a good quality camera system without spending a fortune, these are definitely worth considering.

The best in my humble opinion

We own a couple of WyzeCam v2 cameras in the past and the huge selling point for these cameras was their no-subscription and affordable price point feature. The WyzeCam v4 is a huge upgrade for us with the color night vision functionality which is AMAZING! we used it indoors against a window, so we couldn't enable the spotlight or infrared night time vision turned on. But with the color night vision, everything was clear and with color. Events were triggered quicker and the UI was better with V4. It has a mic and speaker for two-way communication as well as recording which is really handy. Other features that have become standard such as detection zone and sensitivity levels are present. The build of the camera seems pretty solid and reasonable for its price point. The housing and lens cover is made out of plastic. So expect the lens plastic to get scratches easily. It said it can be used outdoors as well and from what I can tell, the all the connection points and slots are covered well to prevent moisture entry. Despite being marketed as no-subscription needed, it does have a optional paid service which certain useful but not non-breaking features are locked behind e.g. continuous event triggering. Without a pro tier, there is a event cool down before the next event trigger can take place again. The subscription also gives cloud storage for your recordings but If you do not want to pay, you will have to install a microSD card to store the recordings. I recommend getting microSDs that are meant for high read and write usage. Overall, this device is really worth it for basic security monitoring.
