Much better than those high-heat personal steamers that you can buy. I use it every morning for ten or fifteen minutes while reading my email. It's helped me keep the infections away for years by keeping my sinuses clear. I don't use their ultrapure water packs in mine. I just buy the gallon distilled from the grocery store (Don't use tap water). But that could be why mine only lasted four years. It looks like it failed because the ceramic heating disk down inside got gunked up and I can't reach it to clean it.
