Works really well with flies. Works even better when you use chemical bait to lure them in. Now, all you have to do, is sit back and listen to the zapper do its job.

This is the LCD model and I’ve also had the fluorescent model. The older fluorescent amount of wood attract flies and zapping pretty good, but it didn’t attract mosquitoes or fruit flies. However, in the new LED model with its multiple frequency, LEDs actually does attract fruit flies and I’ve seen dead ones in the pan so it’s taken them out. I was impressed with it door frequency of lighting so that you could attract more bugs. Now keep in mind it has a blue light and then it has another light next to it, but you can’t see it but the bugs can so it’s not that it’s broken. That’s just it’s out of your range to see. But it attracts more bugs than the fluorescent one for sure and should last 10 years the fluorescent one I did have to replace the bulbs a few times. There’s some knock off frames and I tried one of them however you immediately could tell the LED was different because it was glowing blue and the other LED yellow not like this one it did not attract anything so this brand Aspectek is the best in my opinion

This thing is a joke. Plugged it in during peak mosquito hour on my porch. Not a SINGLE bug was attracted to the purple light – they all buzzed right past it to bite me. Even when I caught a fly and put it directly on the grid out of frustration... nothing happened. No zap, no spark, no pop. It just crawled away. Total waste of money. Does less than a $2 night light.

Works and makes a satisfying zap sound when it fries a bug. I only turn it on for the occasional house fly and it works. If you put something that attracts flies near it you improve your chances of it zapping them

Frying bugs every day. Leave on 24/7/35. Not much good for mosquitoes, and certainly not flies, but it gets a lot of everything else.

Looks great but doesn’t appear to work too well in a lighted garage. My old bug zapper would pop constantly with small gnats and mosquitos. This one has been working for a couple of weeks and thus far appears to have only killed three moths.

This product literally does not work. Unless all you want is a purple light it has absolutely zero effect on flies - despite plenty of flies nearby, none at all flew towards it over several days and nights. Getting refund.

Works for small fruit flies etc. But I also own non-led version, and that is more effective especially with larger flies.

Doesn’t work still have flies. Poor value for the money

We had a fly problem, I bought this and went for the LED version to save on maintenance and electric. It doesn't attract house flies as well as hoped. Some even mocked me by landing on top or bottom of the unit vs flying to their doom. When they do finally land on it the crack is satisfying, it can be heard from other rooms. Ultimately I had to revert to them dangling sticky fly traps to get rid of the influx we get when the suns out. Overall a bit disappointed on its ability to attract flying insects for the price of the unit. Im tempted to get some sort of fly attracting pads to attach to the wall behind the unit to see if that helps.
