very good product
Works well to mask metal prior to painting. easy to apply (dries fairly quickly so cover tub) and very easy to remove. As long as you have applied it to a reasonable thickness the whole thing easily peals off. Very happy with how this product worked.

Wish I found sooner
This stuff is great. I use it for odd touch up jobs in the garage. I can mask off factory labels, bolt holes and other difficult to mask off areas. Super easy to remove after the paint is dry.

Easy clean up and less time to apply than painters tape
I tried this product when faced with the task of painting 36 new interior wood windows. I learned to to paint a thick enough coat so removal is easier. Found that using a razor blade to score the edge where paint meets window glass made the removal easier. Canโt wait to try this on a less detailed project that doesnโt require the fine lines of a window because I think it would be perfect solution to those of us with less than perfect painting skills. In comparison to using painters tape, it is easier and less time-consuming to apply and about the same time and ease to remove. Another caveat, itโs kind of fun to peel off!

Caution if you are using this on wood.
TLDR: Don't use this on finished wood. Use on unfinished wood comes with issues... Issue: This stuff will discolor wood and it soaks in deep so you will not be able to reasonably sand out the discoloration. Seems like false advertising since the container says you can use it on wood yet it noticeably discolors any wood it touches. I have tried it on both alder and wenge, have tried varying mounts and dry times. cannot seem to keep it from leaving its mark behind on wood. Customer Service Issues: I attempted to contact the company and ask if there is some way to prevent the discoloration and their representative acted like it was unusual for it to discolor wood and stated the discoloration was due to the product pulling dirt and contaminates out of the wood. This is absolutely not true. Solved: I found out this product contains ammonia as a stabilizer. Ammonia will react with tannins in the wood and discolor it. Ammonia can also dissolve some finishes (don't use on finishes). I have found you can use this on unfinished wood and minimize the discoloration if you first put a mixture of vinegar/water to neutralize the ammonia stabilizer. Using 100% vinegar is too much, the ammonia will be neutralized too fast and the product will clump up and not stick. 10% vinegar is not enough to stop the discoloration. I've had luck with 50/50 blend of vinegar/water when using this on Alder but I have not had the time to test more species of wood. I would suggest testing this on a scrap of wood from your project to find the best mixture for the wood you are using. I used a brush to paint on the vinegar water solution, then a different brush to paint on the product. Have not had a chance to test other applications methods. Mixing vinegar and ammonia creates salt water from what I have read online so this should be safe for you the wood.

The Best Masking Fluid I have found!
This product does everything that I need it to do! I am an artist and work on a lot of large projects with a lot of detail and the masking fluid available through art supply companies is available in small quantities and is very expensive for the amount I use. Peel-Tek works beautifully on canvas, watercolor paper, Bristol, Vellum, plaster sculpture, etc. I am extremely impressed! Michelle McKenzie Mackintosh

Save time and use regular painters masking tape!
I saw this on HGTV so I thought I'd try it. It ended up taking so much time to remove off my windows that I considered buying new windows! I am so sorry that I tried it and will never use it again. I learned my lesson. I will use only painters tape in the future. This was a total waste of money and for sure, a total waste of my valuable time. Very disappointed in the results.

Excellent for painting/staining a curved design...
At $30/qt (March 2023), I can't think of a better product for helping to effectively stain/paint a curved design! Followed the directions and didn't have any issues whatsoever. My initial application was for painting/staining a Colorado flag into a cornhole set I'd made. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, so all in all I'd recommend this stuff to other DIY folks for sure!!!
