I have only used it about 4 times but am very happy with it. **Q: Can this read thin items, such as hamburger patties? Is there a minimum amount of probe that needs to be covered to work?** A: Hi Raeyin,Yes, this thermometer can read thin items. The thermostat is right at the tip of the probe, so you only need to put the first half inch into the center of the food to get the most accurate reading.I hope this answers your question. If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know.Kind Regards,Sarah ShawAlpha Grillers Customer Service **Q: Our thermometer worked fine on 20 lb turkeys. Just cooked 25 lb turkey for lst time and meat close to bones was raw. Can this one handle 25 lb turkey?** A: 2 things may have given you a false reading... 1, you were not deep enough with the tip of the probe.... 2, you were too close to the bone ... especially if you cook the turkey UNSTUFFED you need to be just a little away from the bone.. (the open cavity will allow the bone to heat quicker) .... try a good BUTTERBALL turkey with the pop-up timer.. then take the temperature with your thermometer... you will know where to check it next time **Q: My thermometer is reading 16° under actual temp. I put it in ice water to test after over cooking a couple of items. Instructions for calibrating?** A: Hi, To re-calibrate the thermometer, please follow these instructions: 1. Fill a glass with crushed ice, then top off with cold water. 2. Stir and leave for 3 minutes. 3. Stir again and immerse the probe in the ice water. 4. Wait for the temperature reading to settle, then press and hold the HOLD button for 3-4 seconds, until the reading shows 32°F or 0°C If you run into any issues or if you have questions, please email me at support@alphagrillers.com Kind Regards, Sarah Shaw Alpha Grillers Customer Service ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Perfectly *by R***W on 2026年8月4日にアメリカ合衆国でレビュー済み* I have purchased two because they work so well, temperature monitoring is great and quick, the magnet works perfectly for easy storage, and it seems to be a good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ genial *by J***. on 2019年3月3日にスペインでレビュー済み* muy exacto... ideal para controlar las temperaturas de las cocciones.... muy util ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very impressed with this thermometer!! *by S***6 on 2016年12月14日に英国でレビュー済み* First of all it came in a surprisingly like nice box that would be perfect for sending as a gift. Inside the box are some instructions and a meat temperature guide which is a nice touch. The thermometer seems accurate and is really fast, generally taking around 5 or 6 seconds to read the temperature. It has a magnet on the back which I love as it means I can store it on the fridge :) I like how it auto turns on when you flip out the probe then auto turns off when you flip it back to closed position. There is a calibration feature and a couple other features but I haven't really used them ## Frequently Bought Together - Alpha Grillers Meat Thermometer Digital - Instant Read Food Thermometer for Cooking Grilling Air Fryer Griddle Probe Kitchen Gadgets Essentials BBQ Accessories Grill Gifts for Men Him Dad Birthday - Cuisinart Grilling Prep and Serve Trays, 17x10.5 inch BBQ Safe for Food Handling, 2 Dishwasher Safe Nesting Trays Black and Red, Perfect Grilling Tray for Cooked and Raw Meat, Fits 6 Burgers - Rolling Grill Basket(2PCS), Removable Wooden Handle, 304 Stainless Steel, Nesting Grilling Net, BBQ Accessories Tool for Vegetable Shrimp, Outdoor Cooking Camping, Birthday Gifts for Men Dad Husband --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/734173567-pen-thermometer-instant-read-meat-ultra-fast-digital-cooking-tool](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/734173567-pen-thermometer-instant-read-meat-ultra-fast-digital-cooking-tool) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
