It works very well. As per instructions, using plastic helps expedite the process. It still works without the plastic, just not as quickly. BIG takeaway, be sure to have something below. It's like the "wushi finger hold", the worst part is the clean up! The paint easily comes off of the door with little to no elbow grease. But then it falls and sticks to the floor (or whatever is below it). So have a big enough piece of cardboard or incredibly large piece of paper. You can use a tarp, too but disposable will be ideal.

Stripping desk from 1920. Followed directions left it for for about 32 hours wrapped in plastic. Took off the varnish and hardly touched the stain underneath. No bubble effect just the nasty looking sludge. Scrapers and wipes will be your friend. Will definitely take multiple attempts to get it all. Washing with a damp rag does wonders after scraping. Smell alone is worth it not being very heavy duty. Good luck on your project.

I sure recommend it if you're looking for a good product to strip the paint of any item. Given that it's a thick material, makes it easy to handle and avoid any big splashes.It gets the job done for sure.

Doesn’t work well with multiple coats of paint. I left it on for 24 hours with plastic over it. It basically glued the plastic to the wall. Citristrip worked in a few hours through all layers.

It didn't work as good as I wanted it to. I put it on the door thick and covered the door in plastic wrap. I kept testing areas over hours up to 2days. The product didn't dry which was a good thing but it only removed some paint. I won't purchase it again.

Love this stuff! Great quality and value for the money. Scrapes paint off all my DIY projects.

Easy to use! Removed chalk paint from my farm house phase. For the price this exceeded my expectations.
