Fits 2012 528i F10? Why " 2014-2016 5 SERIES"?

this only fits 2014-2016 BMW 5 SERIES

I have an adaptive headlight malfunction for 2013 X3 F25 after a car wash = water got in the headlight - Could this module be the culprit?

Definately could be. I had it happen twice to my headlight from going thru a car wash. But I replaced it with an OEM equivalent. The whole front bumper has to be removed to access the module. So I didn't want to take a chance on a low-cost electronics that may not last like an OEM unit.
