Wrong description and overpriced.
Not a 3 channel plane only 2

I was super excited about this remote control plane. I have a bit of a passion for RC cars, and have dabbled with some boats, but I had never tried a plane and was really looking forward to giving it a whirl. The description boasted some cool features that would make this easy for beginners, however I found this to be extremely difficult, actually impossible. This plane would not take flight at all- no matter how hard I tried, and as mentioned by other reviewers, giving it a throw to start didn’t help it to stay in the air. This is fun for decoration but truly a nightmare to try to actually enjoy flying.

As the owner of over a dozen planes an a dozen quadcopters I tend to try out every flying RC vehicle I can get my hands one. These 2-channel airplanes have been fairly popular over the last few years because they are durable and cheap to manufacture - you only need two motors. No control surfaces, no fancy radios, just two motors that propel the plane forward and steer with differential thrust. The only issue with these planes is that they are terrible at flying. With no altitude control it's nearly impossible to get them to go where you want. I decided to try this plane to see if it got any better, especially given that it supposedly has gyroscope stabilization system. I was not impressed. There are a few good things about this plane, one being the battery form factor, where it slides into its compartment, instead of connecting by a pigtail as it is in older models. The pairing with the remote is pretty straightforward, and there are two power levels, as well as a bunch of LEDs making it easier to find when you crash (not if, when). There are a lot more things with this plane that are wrong. First, the large propeller on the front does nothing other than increasing aerodynamic drag. It's not connected to any motor, so I removed it almost immediately. I added a small nut in its place to keep the center of mass where it should be. The takeoff/landing gear is pretty useless because it's impossible to get this plane to take off from the ground. If you adjust the rear control surface so it takes off from the ground it will be impossible to keep it level in flight. So I removed the landing gear and resorted to hand launches. I have to say, this plane flies slightly better than similar 2-channel models, probably due to the "gyroscope stabilization". It is still pretty bad though, very hard to keep level and nearly impossible to steer. It required multiple adjustments of the tail to stay level in horizontal flight and even then I couldn't get it to fly for more than 30 seconds, mainly because it would go pretty far and it was impossible to bring it back because remember, it's nearly impossible to steer. At the end of the day, get an at least 3-channel airplane, that has control surfaces. Otherwise, no matter how good of a pilot you are, you're in for a disappointment

There are some great in depth reviews about this 2 channel RC Airplane so I don't feel I need to go into to much detail. My experience has been pretty bad I'm not a pro RC flyer but I have had better luck with some of the other planes I have gotten off Amazon in the past and I had a friend who is an avid RC plane hobbyist try it out and he did not have much in the way of positive feed back for this item. The plane itself looks really good and seems to be well built which is a good thing as I see a lot of crashes in its future, but my honest opinion is save your money and buy a reputable trainer plane from a RC hobby shop, your going to end up with a much more reliable plane and have way more fun while using it.

This P51D Mustang glider is really nice to look at and feels surprisingly sturdy for foam construction. The details are cool and it arrived undamaged. However, despite following the instructions and multiple attempts, I just couldn't get it to fly properly. It would either nosedive or veer sharply to one side, even with the Xpilot stabilization supposedly helping beginners. It's possible I'm missing something, or maybe our unit had a calibration issue. For now, it's more of a neat display model than a functioning RC plane.

Relatively easy to set up. Just need to insert the plane's lithium battery and the remote's 3xAAA batteries, wait for the two to sync after powering up, and we're good to go. Batteries came fully charged, but no AAA's were included. We were able to test it right away after inserting our own AAA's. There's an extra set of everything for replacement: propellers, lithium battery and wheels. Body of the plane is made of styrofoam, so it's VERY light. Long story short, we weren't able to successfully take off. Tried the taxi method, but the road surface is just too rough and it got stuck. Tried the throwing method, but it nose dived after about 5 meters. It's incredibly hard to keep it in the air. We crashed it multiple times, still kept together pretty well and nothing popped out so far. The main problem of this product is the wheels. They're made of hard plastic and held there by a wire. If they're made of rubber, that will definitely become much smoother for taxi and possibly get it to take off easily. The kids and adults still had a lot of fun trying to get it to flight. But it's also disappointing that we failed in the end. For an eventual failure at $59.99, I do not recommend this product.
