I've tried several brands of cake flour, but this one is my favored! It makes such a difference, especially when baking my go-to Sour Cream Pound Cake. Swans Down Regular Cake Flour has been a staple in my kitchen for a long time. The fine, soft texture of this flour consistently produces generally light and fluffy cakes, pies, and pastries that delight my family during gatherings. I enjoy using it for classic recipes and experimenting with new ones, often involving my grandchildren in the process—it’s a wonderful way to bond. The 32-ounce boxes are convenient. However, for some reason, this 8-pack of cake flour produces very dry cakes. I'm not sure what happened. I have used it with many. many different recipes, and I always get a dry cake. I know the product is usually good, so I'm giving it 4 stars. I definitely lost my money on this purchase.

My bakery specializes in springerle cookies which require cake flour. After the pandemic, I switched from Softasilk to Swans Down and have never looked back. This is America's #1 cake flour for a reason! Bonus that their boxes are still 2 pounds while Softasilk reduced their packaging.
