My wife decided to use the original without the lid on and chopped it to bits. We bought this as a replacement and it is virtually identical. The price for the quality is very good. I have put this through the ringer with all of the protein shakes and smoothies we make. It has held up very well. No issues so far.

I purchased for my brother to go with the used Vitamix I just bought him. Looks just like mine and works the same. Highly recommend.

Kids broke the original one playing swords. Works and fits in the Vitamix as good as the original.

great replacement with good quality

I bought it to replace the tamper (from my sturdy old Vitamix 5000) which I destroyed by inadvertently turning on the blender while it was floating around sans lid in my breakfast smoothie at 6AM.The overall length is the same as the original although the section below the baffle (flange, or whatever it's called) is a fraction longer than that section on the original tamper and it's a bit less sturdy than the original. Bottom line, it clears the blades and does the job. I am pleased to have a good replacement at a reasonable price and will try to be more careful in the future!
