Mosquito Treatment That Actually Works!
Understanding that there are different kinds of mosquitos and not all products work on all types in all areas, I was a little hesitant buying this product. However in my area of San Antonio, Texas the product has been exceptional! I use a fogger machine and immediately after the application the mosquitos do get bad as they are disturbed, but after a few hours there are virtually none. The product lasts about 2-3 weeks and if it rains then you'll have to reapply sooner, however as I've read up, all mosquito treatments are like ths. It does have a bit of a funky smell but that goes away in a few hours, I also add some fragrance to ease the smell, I've been told lavender oil (mosquitos hate it) is best so I will add that. Overall this product has been great for my backyard and I will definitely purchase it again!

It works!
This stuff works really well. The smell dissipates in a couple of hours and the repellent lasts about a week, maybe two depending on rain. We are in Florida and our house backs up to a woody area. Our next door neighbor has an old pool with standing water. When we bought this house the mosquitoes were unbearable. I tried a chemical spray, which did work but my dog had hives everytime I used it. I hated using it anyway and that was enough to look for another option. This works just as well and is safe for my pets. It also got rid of whiteflies in my watermelon patch. I ordered neem oil for that, but just happened to spray this for the mosquitoes before the neem arrived. Went out there the next morning and the whiteflies were gone too. I do not notice a reduction in butterflies, we have a lot. We've never had many bees to begin with so not sure about those guys. I do notice an increase in black flies. I will take that over the skeeters all day and twice on Sunday!

Not cheap
I used it a half dozen times this last season. We did get a lot of rain, but Iโd hoped it would be more effective. We had plenty mosquitos even after using this. It has a pretty strong garlic odor. At over $100/gal, Iโd like it to be more effective, and keep mosquitos away for at least a few days. You use 6oz product to make 1gal of spray. That should mean 21 gallons of spray for that 1 gal of product. I use 3-4 gallons each application.

I applied this product at the 2-4 oz per gallon as recommended by the manufacturer
Did not work for me anywhere close to what the product advertised. I applied this product at the 2-4 oz per gallon as recommended by the manufacturer. I used a stihl back back blower to apply the product. entirely coating the surrounding vegetation. When i finished mosquitoes were still biting the heck out of me in the exact same spot. I think it works as a mild deterrent for very light mosquito areas. But an actual knock down was definitely not observed. We are in river bottom land and have very robust skeeters. I do like the idea of something less toxic and definitely support that. However for the cost and what it was advertised to do, I would say a mild repellent at best. Like treat the outdoor area heavy, and if there is no wind the skeets might gradually avoid the area during the daylight the next day. But as for immediate response, I treated a 20ft by 20ft camping site with what was recommend to treat an acre and the skeets didn't budge an inch. I have tried several applications and very similar results as discussed above. Expensive garlic perfume for the yard.

Works, but it's costly
First off, this stuff does do the job! I applied it on Friday, it thunder stormed thru the weekend, and Monday i still have no mosquitoes. It's nice to use a product that won't expose my pets, garden, and child to harsh chemicals. I used more than the recommended concentration and the yard did have the smell of garlic and pine afterwards. I'd rather smell garlic in the air than be eaten alive by flying parasites. It didn't bother me, but it drove my wife crazy (who doesn't like the smell of garlic???) These are my reasons for not giving 5 stars; Application of this product is short term, temporary, and costly. the rain will eventually wash this stuff away, you may get 2 weeks as advertised under a best case scenario. i used 3/4 of the bottle on my yard, at $100 a bottle, it would be costly to keep this up thru the summer. i would happily pay $30 a bottle for this product. With that being said, i will most likely buy 1 more bottle to keep around just to use for outdoor gatherings like before a cookout, but this is too costly to use continuously on a 9500 square foot yard.
