Great way to fix a flaky fob
Saved me hundreds of dollars. I just cleaned & transferred the old fobโs circuit board and battery to this shell. Worked perfectly. The old fob was 12 years old and was super flaky because it was worn out. It was a little finicky getting it snapped closed. Once I got it closed it is fine.

Changer battery my before trying to reprogram
CHANGE THE BATTERY BEFORE PROGRAMMING. The battery was likely dead when I tried to reprogram so it failed. Once I found a video of how to reprogram my key on YouTube, the guy suggested replacing the battery. Once I replace the battery with a new one, the reprogramming worked within one try. I found no issues with the valet key fitting or locking into place. Very nice product! Durable and compatible with our 2017 Ford Flex. Our manual had old instructions in it so we had to YouTube how to actually do it with a keyless fob. All steps consecutive within 30 minutes: 1. Get in car with both old fobs that work and set down somewhere in car. Let screens/accessory power turn off. Put NEW fob in center console key area (key ring be at the rear with the buttons facing toward the right-hand side). 2. Press driver or passenger unlock button 3 times 3. Press brake pedal once 4. Press driver or passenger lock button 3 times 5. Press break pedal once 6. Press start/stop button (some flash some donโt) 7. Wait 5 seconds, take new key out of center console and check to see if lock, unlock, tail gate work. If not, wait one minute and try again. We will see how long it lastsโฆ. :)

Saved a bunch of money with these great replacement remotes
It works! I only had one factory intelligent remote when I bought my used 2013 Lincoln mkx. One of the buttons on that remote broke so I needed to replace it. I researched several options and chose this one based on reviews. I didnโt want to pay the exorbitant cost of getting the remote and programming by the dealership. There were a few comments on not being able to program the remote by the users, but thatโs a misunderstanding of the process. Per Ford, the end user must have 2ea programmed remotes functioning before the user can self-program a3rd remote. I thought the description from the seller clearly explained that, and stated one might need to have an auto locksmith or the dealer do the programming. With only one partially working factory remote I knew I had to have it professionally done. I called a local locksmith and had 2ea remotes programmed and the emergency keys ib each remote cut all for less than one remote from the dealership. The comments also stated that sone took their remotes to locksmithโs but were told they couldnโt be programmed. They would have to take them to the dealership, or magically purchase a Ford remote from the locksmith and oay way too much. I had no issue having these remotes programmed by a reputable locksmith that wasnโt trying to upsell me. Both remotes were programmed and keys cut in about 30 minutes. All functions of my highly featured car eork flawlessly. A great buy that saved me a ton if money.

Bought my 2nd one
My new 2015 Explorer came with 2 fobs. The first fob no longer opened the rear hatch, as I describe below in my 1st review from 2021. That replacement fob is still working fine. Fast forward to today, and my older 2nd fob acted intermittent, sometimes not being recognized by the vehicle. That's a problem if you are away from home. So I popped open that fob and similar to my other fob, one of the silver disks was missing, this time for the panic button. However, I found that little silver disk inside the fob, silver side down, stuck to the circuit board. It was stuck over 2-3 solder spots, thus basically shorting out the circuit board. I removed that little disk, reassembled and the fob seemed to be back to normal. I still ordered this blank fob just in case another silver disk might come loose. How many people had a fob quit and order a new one from the dealer for $400+ not knowing a little silver disk inside was the problem that could be fixed with this $15 blank fob? Glad I found this product. For those of you wanting the Ford logo, the backs of my original fobs fit perfectly with this replacement and still looked like new (the back has no chrome trim). This repair was just as easy as replacing a battery in a fob, so don't worry about assembly. I also reused by old valet key - your choice to cut a new one with the key blank that comes with this. 1st review from 2021 My fob for my 2015 explorer has the open rear hatch button quit working. Taking the fob around, I noticed the little "plunger" for each function and the one over the hatch had disappeared. Not sure where it could go. So I found this replacement. I kept the back of my original as this replacement fob does not have the Ford logo on the back. Not a big deal over all. Kept the circuit board (obviously) and the back. My fob now looks brand new. All functions work fine. This was a perfect solution for my problem. As long as you have the original working circuit board, this replacement case will work.

Scam!
Total garbage. These do not work on a 2017 Ford Expedition. I have two perfectly good working fobs already and I went through the programming steps perfectly. Even put new batteries in the fobs before trying to program. Still nothing. Neither one of the new fobs does anything. Save your money and donโt buy this trash.

Do NOT buy this product !!!
Do NOT buy this product !!! In my opinion this company is using deceptive advertising, and after communicating with them I get the feeling that this includes deliberate fraud. Note that their advertising says: โSelf-programming requires you to have at least one working smart key. Please send your ORDER ID and we will give you a programming video. If you don't have another working key, or you can't program it successfully yourself. You need to find a qualified locksmith or dealer to help you to programme it.โ Plus, they say: โIf you have any questions such as missing parts, received damaged, wrong item, won't install, etc. We will provide you a solution within 24 hours.โ So they say that only one existing key is needed to use their product, but they will not provide programming instructions until AFTER you have purchased their product. I made that purchase and then had to e-mail them TWICE to get a response. When they finally responded, their reply sent me a URL to a YouTube video that requires the use of specialized electronic equipment which costs in excess of $2500. I wrote to the company a third time, pointing out that following their procedure would cost over 12 times as much as buying a pre-programmed key from a dealer, and no rational person would do that. Their response was: โWe have found the programming video corresponding to your car model, this is a common programming video, I have confirmed to other customers that this video can be programmed according to the prompts. If it still doesn't match,Please tell us the model and year of your car, The other way is๏ผWhen the product can not be successfully programmed, you can solve the problem through the following methods, which is relatively low cost. 1. You can take it to a key shop where you can program. 2. Call a locksmith and With one working fob they can program the new one.โ The bottom line here is that self-programming their product if you have only one functional existing key requires you to spend several thousand dollars, and their โsolutionโ to this is to take their product to a locksmith and pay for it to be programmed. This is exactly what other companies are honest enough to say in their advertising. I plan to return this purchase to Amazon, and suggest that you avoid dealing with this company, as I find their honesty questionable.

A no brainer
The Ford dealership wanted to charge 1,000 dollars replace my two key fobs for my 2011 Lincoln MKX. Thanks but no thanks. Checked Amazon, found these guys, read the reviews, ordered. Four days later my replacement key fobs work like a charm and I saved myself 970 dollars. Some people have said these key fob shells were impossible to close, making them unusable. I also found both difficult to close (I bought two) but if you keep at it, using plenty of elbow grease, they will eventually snap into place.

Works like a hot damn
I am honestly thrilled with this purchase. I got it for my 2012 Lincoln MKX. Key was super punched out and half the buttons weren't working. I put the internals from my old key into this and everything works perfectly and it saved me several hundred dollars.
