When sanding joint compound, the dust falls straight down instead of blowing all over like with a sander. You also get better control since you can feel how much material you’re removing. They clean up easily, and even when they’re covered in dust, the grit numbers are still visible. Just make sure to buy the ones with the colored ends. It makes it much easier to keep track of the different grits. For woodworking, they work great on miters. The flexibility of the sponge allows you to smooth the joint without flattening the edges. I’ve used a lot of sanding sponges, but these are the best so far. And at 8 for under $7 you cant go wrong. Review: Sanding heaven - I recently tried out a set of **sanding sponges**, and I have to say, they have completely changed my approach to sanding! These sponges are incredibly versatile and have made the process faster and easier than I ever imagined. One of the standout features is their **flexibility**. The sponges conform effortlessly to curves and contours, allowing me to achieve a smooth finish on both flat surfaces and tricky edges without any hassle. Plus, they’re easy to grip and maneuver, making them ideal for extended use without hand fatigue. The **abrasive quality** is excellent—I found that they cut through materials like wood and drywall with remarkable efficiency, and they leave a clean finish without any scratch marks. I really appreciate that the sponges are durable and hold up well over time; they don’t wear out quickly, so I get more sanding done with fewer sponges. Cleaning them is a breeze as well. A simple rinse is usually enough to restore them, allowing me to reuse them multiple times without losing functionality.
