## Overview

The Yahboom Robot Expansion Board V3.0 is a versatile STM32F103RCT6-based development board designed for Raspberry Pi 5, Jetson, and other industrial boards. Featuring a 9-axis IMU sensor, multi-motor and servo support, and compatibility with ROS1/ROS2, it offers modular connectivity and stable multi-voltage power outputs. Ideal for building advanced ROS robots and smart vehicles, it combines open-source software with robust hardware for professional-grade DIY robotics.

## Description

Basic expansion board equipped with a wide range of sensor interfaces, such as ultrasonic obstacle avoidance, 2-channel infrared obstacle avoidance, 2-channel light-seeking, 4-channel tracking, RGB lights, color recognition, MPU6050 gyroscope and linear CCD camera. Compared to the traditional open IO port and DuPont line connection, we use a simple and easy to operate modular design and socket cable connection. It is easier and simpler to make the wiring not rough. ROS expansion board is not only a ROS car driver board, but also a STM32 core development board. It integrates STM32 core control unit, MPU9250 nine-axis attitude sensor and other components, and provides four-way encoder motor, four-way PWM servo, serial bus servo, RGB light bar and other peripheral interfaces. It can communicate and supply power with main control boards such as Raspberry Pi, JETSON series boards, and industrial computers. If you want to build a ROS robot or a smart car, it will be a good choice.

Review: “Reverse current protection” - “Reverse current protection” is meaningless when there is nothing protecting the 5v output jack from reverse current/over voltage. This board will be used with Jetson which has a 12v jack of the same diameter. You need to add a protection circuit to prevent current from coming in via the 5v output jack
Review: Unable to use, difficult to power - I bought this board as a test bed, to further my robotics education. I had attempted to use this board to run a self-balancing robot, to no avail. Also, when I hooked a raspberry pi 5 to the board, the board would not power the pi.
