These mics are perfect if you want simplicity. These are not professional grade. They come with dead cats you can pull over each mic, magnetic necklace attachments, USB-C charging cable, 3.5mm TRS cable and a receiver for line-in connection and 3.5mm headphone monitoring jack. The dead cats don't seem to distort or change the audio quality in any way, wind noise is nonexistent when outside. There is no built in recording capability, you are only able to use 3.5mm line in. They have been dependable and worth the price at the time. There are only a few things I can complain about: the noise cancellation while present, is not great and the audio quality is comparable to wireless mics that are much cheaper.

I’ve got to say, the Donner VPM-20 is hands-down one of the best wireless lav systems I’ve used. I run a podcast and sometimes have one or two extra guests, and these mics make everything sound warm, clear, and professional—like you just hired a sound engineer. The dual mics are tiny and lightweight (9g each!) but super solid, and the charging case is a lifesaver. The receiver has a 3.5mm TRS jack, so you can plug it straight into a camera or mixer—no fuss, no adapters. The functional display on the receiver is genius—it lets you check battery, channels, and settings at a glance. Switching between mono and stereo is smooth, and the dual channels save you a ton of headache in post-production. Noise cancellation works really well too, so background sounds aren’t an issue. Range and battery life are impressive. I’ve recorded in my studio and even moved around the room with zero dropouts. Each mic lasts 10 hours, and with the charging case, you can get up to 40 hours total—perfect for a full day of recording. On top of all that, they’re a fantastic value for the money—punching way above their weight in performance compared to their price. These mics are professional-sounding, durable, and so easy to use. I genuinely love mine and reach for them anytime I have guests or if I need to be on the go myself! Oh and I almost forgot! They have the magnetic clip on the back I love that feature with lav mics! You can take the magnetic clip off and there is a magnetic circle on the necklaces this system comes with and you can wear it that way as well! Can’t say enough good things! To be honest if I wasn’t in a hurry today I’d be raving about every single little thing about them! I want to purchase more Donner products just because this one is so good to me!

I wish there were 10 stars so I can give it 20 stars! I am in marketing and let me tell you, I use these lavs EVERY single day and they have not failed. No drop outs whatsoever. The sound quality is INCREDIBLE and here's the highlight feature, INSANE DURABILITY! I have accidently dropped this mic count it FOUR TIMES. Seriously. And nothing happened to them. I'm talking zero issues after dropping 4 times. You're probably looking at the price tag thinking, "No way this thing is good. The audio must be muddy? Or they're not durable. Something will go wrong with these." NOPE! I will not buy another wireless system except for these. Yes DJi has features that sync up with their other devices. DO you know what the most important things about mics are? That they just simply work! That the audio is amazing! And these Donners DO IT WELL.

My initial impressions were very good and thought that overall packaging and quality of the product felt really good. I was excited to use this My application was going to mostly be for football games and allowing the players to be Mic'd up... Unfortunately the advertised thousand foot range is completely made up false advertising... Elsewise I'd love to know how they came up with this determination other than pulling the figure straight out of thin air. My audio was complete crap at approximately 30 yd or 90 ft... Not even a 10th of what they claim... I'm sure if you are using this within a 10 to 15 ft radius it's probably a very excellent product but simply for the fact that the range was not even close to what they advertised I have to take away a lot of points for that.

Ooooh I love these mics

As somewhat of an audiophile, this microphone kit missed the mark for me. I have experience working in theatre sound and on personal video projects. I know what “good” and “great” sound like - for me this sadly isn’t it. The construction quality of the case and the equipment inside of it leaves a bit to be desired. The texture and ruggedness of the plastic exterior seems fine, and magnetic resistance can be felt when opening the lid of the case, however once open there’s nothing holding the lid in place and it has a very annoying tendency of swinging itself closed with the smallest of movements. The microphones themselves have rather strong magnets holding them to the included clips, and the mute buttons have a nice clicky feel - you’ll know when you press it. The receiver unit’s power button is not mounted straight which leads me to worry about the overall build quality, especially for a somewhat pricey item. The receiver has a small display which is very useful for reading levels and battery information from the microphones, however the gain does not appear to be adjustable which means one is limited when selecting where to place the mic in order to avoid clipping. In my opinion, the gain is set far too high out of the box which means you need to mount the mic farther away from your mouth. As far as the audio quality goes, the best way to describe it is “tinny”. It amplifies the highs and doesn’t seem to capture the lows (or mids) well. It’s not good enough for me to consider using, even for a hobby project. That being said, it does sound far better than the very cheap wireless lav mics out there. It is not comparable to DJI or Rode mics. I was able to connect the receiver to my Android phone via a USB C to C cable (my own, did not come with the unit), but could not get my Macbook to capture audio via USB or line-in (using the included cable). A bit of a nitpick at the end here, but I find it silly that the mics come in a case inside of a zipper case with protective foam. That being said, the foam can be removed and the case used to store other video/audio accessories as needed. I would recommend this mic for middle and high school video production classes and other use cases where peak audio quality is not important. If you’re looking for a name-brand mic on a budget, I’d advise you to keep saving. This is a case of “you get what you pay for”.
