Good product
I recently tried the Caplide Cold Plunge Test Strips, and I’m impressed! They’re super easy to use and give a clear, accurate reading every time. I love how quickly they react, so I don’t have to wait to know the water quality before taking a plunge. The strips feel durable and precise, making maintaining my cold plunge routine simple and stress-free. Definitely a must-have for anyone serious about tracking their cold plunge water conditions!

Inconsistent. Some work, some don't
These 4-in-1 Cold Plunge Test Strips can be reliable when they work, and reliable and convenient tool for monitoring water quality, testing pH, alkalinity, hardness, and hydrogen peroxide. They are easy to use, the problem is some of them simply do not work. The included QR code links to a calculator for interpreting results, though it references additives like baking soda and hydrogen peroxide that may not apply to all users. While not as precise as lab-based tests, the strips provide accurate enough readings for home use, including hot tubs, and pool water. It comes with a generous number of strips at an affordable price.

Must have for any cold Plunge
This product is a game-changer for anyone with a cold plunge. Before using it, our water would go bad within a week, forcing us to drain and refill constantly. The online water calculator takes all the guesswork out and gives accurate results every time. For a small price, you get consistently clean, balanced water—and way less hassle. Highly recommend.

Inconsistent results
I bought these mainly for the H202 test, but it doesn't work very well. The color changes significantly over the 60 seconds window in which the instructions say to monitor the results. The other items appear to be a more consistent test.

This is not an item I would normally buy at all, but I didn't have to pay as it's a Vine item
I think it is important for readers to know that I have no opinion on whether or not this is a reasonable, very low or very high price for this particular product. I would not normally buy this product at any price, even though part of it is useful to me. I did not have to pay for this item as its a product in the Vine program where we get to try products listed there for free as long as we do honest reviews of them. I won't deduct stars for products that I would never normally buy at any price because I think the price looks very high but with this one, I have no need or desire to own the part of the test that measures the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the water specimen, but I did find tests for hydrogen peroxide that were much more expensive, some of them didn't even test the other three things that I can use for my pool but only the H2O2 concentration. So I can conclude that this is a pretty good price and maybe even a really good deal on these test strips, if you need them. I could not really test the accuracy of the H2O2 test but I could compare the accuracy of the tests for pH, alkalinity and acidity an found them to be accurate as other tried and true test strips I have used for my pool. This product is a package of water chemistry testing strips. 100 strips but only four test patches on each strip. Three of them are useful to me as I can use them to test for the ph level of my pool and total acidity and total alkalinity so I can quick check the ph and see if I have to add ph increaser or decreaser and how much, or if its all good. The fourth test was a mystery to me, because it was hydrogen peroxide. Now, there is a kind of funny thing because I thought the "cold plunge" part of the listing was a brand name. It was not. Anyone who might buy this product or one like it on a regular basis is probably already laughing at me. But for a little entertainment value, or a little educational value for those who don't know wat "cold plunge water" is, like I didn't.... "Cold Plunge Water" is the name of water used in the activity of taking the luxurious, invigorating, stimulating actual "cold plunges" in "cold plunge tanks" that like swimming pools and hot tubs, and mineral spa tubs, are not drained often, and the water used over and over and is recirculated through a filtering, sanitizing system that also include a water refrigeration device that makes sure the water is kept icey cold for short but maybe frequent "cold plunges", similar to hot tubs except the opposite temperature goal. I didn't realize that there were "cold plunge" tubs and equipment, and chemicals to keep the cold plunge water fresh and sanitized even though the tanks or tubs were not often drained, just like hot tubs, swimming pools and spas. Now, the reason I didn't know that there was a whole "Cold Plunge" recreational and/or health activity which involved immersing your body in icey cold water for a time period, is probably that I have an outdoor pool in a place where for somewhere between 9 and 10 1/2 months out of a year nobody, rich or poor has to go very far, or look very hard or spend very much money if any at all, to find a place to take a "cold plunge". And there are quite a few "polar bear people" up this way who do seek out cold plunge experiences, but most of them just go to a lake, river, stream or pond and jump in when the water temperatures have started to freeze over. Some might take a hatchet in case there is more than a film of ice over the water that is too thick to kick loose as you wade or jump in. But in this colder area, most people, from rich to poor would rather avoid taking a "cold plunge" into a pothole filled with icy water. "Polar Bear Clubs" get together to celebrate their cold plunges in groups, plan outings to various spots, they run or jump in, dance around, have contests to see who can stay in longest or whatever, but it doesn't have to cost a penny for most of the year here to go out and have fun freezing your butt off. When they are ready to get out they get out and some of them will dry off rolling around in the snow if there is enough accumulated. And they don't test it for hydrogen peroxide and ph or total alkalinity or acidity or anything else. LOL. So, my curiosity why this water test had only those four things and one of them hydrogen peroxide was finally satisfied but I'm not going to need that part of these water test strips, even though it could probably also be used to test drinking water that came from uncertain sources that are treated by hikers and campers in wilderness areas with products containing hydrogen peroxide to sanitize the drinking water in remote places . I hope this helps someone who needs "cold plunge water test" products to find a good one for testing the hydrogen peroxide

Works As Designed, Easy to Read
It is hard to write an amazing review about test strips. They either work or they don’t. If they work, and these definitely do, then they are easy to test and read. These work well and I like the fact that they have 4 tests. I was curious, so I tried them in my hot tub, and they seemed to work for that also since they matched my hot tub test strips. This makes sense because I am basically testing water, so being able to use them for both is an added benefit.

Easy to use, rather expensive.
These strips help you keep an eye on the quality of the water in your cold plunge tub or pool. The idea is to keep the water safe and clear. Because of the number of strips in the kit, and the number of parameters measured, these strips end up being expensive. Water can be affected negatively by the intrusion of rain water, skin lotions, urine, skin oils, etc. These test strips are easy to use; dip the strip in the water for two seconds and then keep the strip horizontally. The instructions state that the reading should be taken immediately after 30 seconds or 1 minute depending on the parameter, as indicated in the color chart. Compare the colors on the test strip pads with the colors on the chart. Observing the colors under natural day light is recommended. The test strips monitor the following parameters: - pH should be a little on the base side in the range of 7.2 to 7.8, to prevent eye irritation, and to ensure that sanitizers work effectively. - Alkalinity is referred as the ability of the water to compensate for changes in pH. It can be adjusted by using a solution of baking soda. - Hardness is understood as the concentration of calcium and magnesium in the water. It should be controlled to keep water clarity and avoid scaling. It can be adjusted with a water softener, reverse osmosis filtration, or by partially draining and filling with fresh water, if the water supply is not too hard. - Hydrogen Peroxide, as a way to sanitize the water in the cold plunge. I was surprised by the terrible condition of the manufacturer's plastic bag in which the test strips came. They have a shelf life of two years, and the one's i got had been manufactured two months earlier. I recommend looking at all the available alternatives.
