Sooo cool! We absolutely love it!

My daughter used these for a science experiment and won the science fair. We tested how these dinoflagellates responded to different light variables for her project. Surprisingly they were very surviving for a very long time even under conditions with low light(which is not recommended), proving that they are quite resilient even when not given the recommended care. These creatures are amazing and interesting, beautiful and truly impressive.

These glowing critters are great! I encountered them years ago in an old culture I found in a science instrument collection I purchased as a part of an estate, and those have lasted decades. This newer culture is going strong too, after more than 6 months it is brighter than it was originally. They do outgrow their bag, so I’ve been periodically giving them away to friends and refreshing the dinonutrients periodically. They seem to thrive in a broader range of conditions than the care guide suggests, so don’t be afraid to give them a try!

Did not work at all.

Arrived intact and dinoflagellates were still viable. Love these Dynos! With a three pack we had ample for nerding out! Make sure to get the food too. We've had ours for months now, and still lighting up at night. I got this as a gift for my teen son, but not gonna lie, I kept a bag for myself!
