I feel FREE from my former carrier contracts!
I purchased the SIMO Solis Pro 5G hotspot primarily for travel, working remotely and as a backup internet solution. It has exceeded my expectations. Setup was incredibly simple right out of the box. I powered it on, followed the prompts within the app, and was connected within minutes. The touchscreen display makes it easy to monitor battery life, signal strength, data usage, and connected devices without having to dig through menus. The connection has been consistently reliable and it does seem to connect to the strongest carrier available. It often seems to default to T-Mobile, but I've been happy with the connection speeds so far. I also appreciate not having to deal with SIM cards or carrier contracts. Battery life has been excellent. It easily lasts through a full workday, and the fact that it can double as a power bank for my devices is a welcome additional that I know will come handy. The device itself feels well-built and durable, and I like having the peace of mind that I can take it almost anywhere and stay connected. While it's not the cheapest hotspot on the market, the convenience, flexibility, and reliability make it worth the investment for me. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who travels frequently, works remotely, or wants a dependable backup internet connection.

Love this Hotspot!! 😀
I've had this for over a year and I love it! It works everywhere I go. The cost is minimal and I feel like it is safer than connecting to many different systems as I travel Europe, Middle East and USA. Always reliable; takes aboit 30-45 seconds to connect anywhere. Easy initial setup and able to monitor use on the app easily.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM SOLIS/SOMO BECAUSE THEIR COMPANY IS AN OUTRIGHT SCAM!
PLEASE SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND BUY A PORTABLE WIFI SYSTEM FROM AN ACTUAL REPUTABLE COMPANY, BECAUSE SOLIS/SOMO ISN'T IT! EXACTLY ONE WEEK AGO I SPENT ALMOST $90 FOR A ONE MONTH UNLIMITED INTERNET PLAN FOR MY SOLIS WIFI DEVICE! A WEEK LATER I CAN'T EVEN WATCH MY TV BECAUSE SOLIS'S "CUSTOMER SERVICE" IS CURRENTLY TELLING ME (I HAVE THEM IN A *WORTHLESS* TECH SUPPORT CHAT AS I TYPE THIS): "YOU'VE ALREADY USED YOUR 100 GB OF HIGH SPEED INTERNET FOR YOUR UNLIMITED ONE MONTH PLAN. AFTER THE 100 GB IS USED YOUR SPEED SLOWS DOWN." I TOLD HIM "IF YOU BUY AN UNLIMITED ONE MONTH PLAN AND AFTER ONLY ONE WEEK YOU CAN'T EVEN WATCH YOUR TV, THAT MEANS SOLIS IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS!" HIS RESPONSE WAS (HIS NAME IS MICHAEL): "It is not useless; you still have data, only slower. This information is not hidden from you. At any moment, you can see on the website that it states the data is unlimited, but it slows down afterwards." I RESPONDED "There's literally nothing working in my home. The only tv I have connected keeps going out every 5-10 seconds, so YES it is USELESS when I can't even watch TV with it. I'll just go back to my regular home internet and throw this absolute junk out. it's far cheaper than $90 a month and I've never had any kind of issue like this with ANY internet company before! I can understand a slower speed (which for $90 bucks it's STILL ridiculous that they slow the internet speed down, especially to the extent that NOTHING that uses wifi will even WORK at their "slower speed)"! I also told him that I purchased this JUNK from Amazon and that I WILL be heading to their review section to warn people to STAY FAR AWAY from their scam, which is what I believe it to be!!!! I still have THREE WHOLE WEEKS left of my ONE MONTH "UNLIMITED" PLAN, and as of about 30 mins ago, my ONE MONTH UNLIMITED PLAN is obviously over after only one week...again, for almost $90 bucks!!! If nothing in my home will stay connected to this pile of straight GARBAGE the only thing I have left to say about Solis/SOMO is that it's a SCAM!!!! Once I told "Michael" I was leaving a review on Amazon, he immediately ended the conversation and disconnected the chat! So not only is Solis a SCAM, their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! My cellphones are through T Mobile and they too slow down unlimited cellphone internet after so much of the high speed internet is used, but guess what? When this happens, I don't even notice it's been slowed down because the internet on my family's phones have ZERO problems staying connected, and there's absolutely ZERO problem watching videos/movies etc., on our cellphones, even when they've slowed down the speed. Oh and on one last horrid note: Solis/Somo wants me to pay ANOTHER $40-$70 to get the high speed data back for the three weeks of my "One Month Internet Plan" that I have left on top of the almost $90 I've ALREADY PAID A WEEK AGO, WHICH I'M ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NOT DOING!!! They got me once, but it definitely isn't happening TWICE! Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have no idea but I DEFINITELY wish I would have picked a different company because this one is HORRIBLE!

I'm very impressed with this little hotspot.
I've been shopping around for a hotspot to take along in our camper. This one seemed to have the features that I was looking for and the reviews were favorable so I ordered it. It arrived in 4 days, in plenty of time for our camping trip next week. The setup was amazingly simple. I did plug it in to charge it but it turns out that it was nearly completely charged. Then you just power it on, download the app on your phone, Create an account, and follow the very few simple steps. My laptop and my phone easily found and connected to the hotspot and those are the two devices that I will be using when camping. The device is small and would easily fit in a pocket or just about anywhere. And talk about simple. There is one lighted button and three little lights and that's it. It includes a USB-C charging cord (an outlet adaptor is not included) and an adaptor to use the cord to charge your phone right from the device. The battery life is said to be 16 hours but I can't confirm that yet. We live in a fringe area so none of our speeds here are blazingly fast but are adequate for our needs. When I first connected to the hotspot with my laptop and checked the speed it was disappointingly slow. But there is a feature in the app that will scan to find the strongest cell signal. I ran the scan and then the speeds were equal to what we get with our regular internet provider, which is also via cell towers, so I am very pleased with that. The data plans are very flexible and should fit most needs. There are global plans, North American plans, and USA plans. There is an unlimited plan that automatically renews monthly for $89 per month. There are other monthly plans from 1 GB to 50 GB with prices that range from $6 to $70 per month. The plan that I will use, because we will mostly just use the hotspot while camping, is the pay-as-you-go plan where you just add more data right from the app as you need it at $8 per GB. The very nice thing about that is that once you add data your unused data never expires. So if I load more data into the device than I use while camping I don't lose it. It just stays loaded in the device to use whenever I need it. Another very nice feature is that the device includes one free GB per month that is automatically added to the hotspot. The free GB does not carry over from month to month, however. The hotspot can be connected to 10 different devices. We will seldom have more than three connected at a time. If you only connect a few devices you could use one of the monthly plans and use the hotspot as your home internet provider but most homes today connect many more than 10 devices so that would not work for everyone. Since the hotspot works via cell tower signals it should work fine anywhere your phone works. The campground where we are going is fairly remote, but there is a signal there, so I expect the hotspot to work fine. If there are any issues I will update this review but so far I am very favorably impressed with this little hotspot.

If you are a heavy user it can get expensive.
Overall I think this is a great product. Have been using around Europe for the last month without any issues. Plan to continue using when we return to the US as a backup during power outages or is interruptions.

Good for international remote work
Works well. Just worked from Spain for 2 full days without issues. Signal strength wasn’t great in some areas but generally good. Even with low signal strength I was able to work online. No issues with teams calls; however I didn’t have my camera on. Battery lasted me the full 2 days. Only surprise was that I seemed to burn through data faster than usual. On my phone hotspot I use maybe 2 gigs/day but was closer to 4 with this device. Not sure why. Still a good buy

Biz Owner -Worth it taking credit cards anywhere, off-site travel, and more!
I have to say that I am very impressed with this product. I am a business owner on the go, not only do I have clients in my office. I also have them remotely. I typically use my Wi-Fi that is along with my landline in my office for video meetings. however, when I have gone, offsite should do events. I’ve had a very difficult time connecting my Square reader or phone to the Wi-Fi in different places that do not allow access to their system without a password. It resulted to me losing a lot of money out events were people wanted to purchase tickets if they were any available and did not have cash to give to me. so I bought this to go along with my Square Terminal to take cards easily at events when people come in. it was the best thing I ever did to invest in both of the products. by the way, if you’re ever considering buying the Square Terminal do it through Amazon it’s less expensive than Square (learned that later). so far, I’ve used this portable Wifi for my events with my Square reader very successfully. I have also used it when I was on the road to test the Wi-Fi system and take a card as a test you can see in the video. Lastly, one time I did something with my cell phone did not realize that I had turned off my cell phone data and tried to get directions to a new location. I had to scope out , pick it up on my GPS and I was trying to find the address I turned around and went back to my office to get this Wi-Fi and turned it on. I was able to get to the event location easily by picking up the Wi-Fi and connecting it to my phone. but the most impressive yet was I just recently went on my first cruise ever to Bermuda, I was very concerned about being able to access my emails and check in on things while I was gone to tell my staff member if there were any issues with things she needed to address. I brought this on my trip and also upgraded from my eight dollar plan I pay every month just to have it going anytime. I need it to a $98 unlimited plan to access Wi-Fi in Bermuda to be able to contact not only my staff but our adult children that were watching our dog and to check in. In addition, I had also bought the Norweigan limited minutes data plan for $125 for 200 minutes that Wifi bought from the cruise ship never worked even when we were in Port and at sea thar never worked!!! I could check my email through the cruise ship Wi-Fi, but could never send it out or check text messages so that was a waste of money. However, I was able to quickly in swiftly turn on this Wi-Fi system when we were in Bermuda and be able to check messages and text our children which was awesome. I had paid $98 for an unlimited plan in Caribbean and Bermuda and I also also had a conference that I just got back from that. I wanted to have it to take payments for books that I was selling and other products. I can say that I did use my laptop a couple times to check it and also my Apple pad and it lagged a little bit connecting to solos, but it did send and receive messages. I’m not sure how it would be full-time using this a Wi-Fi system through a landline with say Comcast, etc., but this is definitely good for any Wifi spot, especially if you are taking and receiving payments at events or conferences, I am very happy with the purchase. It was the best birthday present I ever bought and it’s already paid for itself many times over with me being able to sell products and tickets at Event locations easily. i’ve recommended this product to other business owners and friends. Many other portable Wi-Fi systems are extremely expensive to maintain. I am pretty frugal with my business being careful not to overspend on different areas. I don’t use this all the time so I pay for the eight dollar a month plan just to always have access to it if I’m not I’m gonna be somewhere else for a day or a long period of time then I pay for a longer for just a day to use it or a month. Gave me a lot of comfort, knowing that I had this when I was out of the country in Bermuda to take along with me in my big pocketbook to be able to access the Whatsup app and be able to call people if we needed a ride. My husband also connected his phone to the system as well as I did at the same time to be able to check his text messages and emails that came through once we turned it on. If you were a vendor get the system it is so much easier than worrying about getting Wi-Fi access anywhere you are. this is also very secure instead of going into free Wi-Fi access especially if you are doing any transactions and you don’t want a way to hack into your business accounts. Highly recommend a product love it. I’ve been in business for 18 years and this is one of the best products that I ever purchased to help run my business.

Nice mobile router.
When deciding with Mobile Hotspot to purchase, I was debating between this one and another company which was offering a free 2 GB/month lifetime plan, but it was 4G and lower wifi band. I liked the idea that this device was not just a mobile hotspot, but also a power bank which gives the device a longer run time, or a quick way to power up my cell phone if it gets low. I also liked that this company had multiple plans, like a day use no data limit, monthly subscriptions, as well as 1,2,5,10 GB pre pay that are good for a year, or good for 15 years. They also have plans good for just USA, region specific, or global. Just purchased this. Product works almost as advertised. Issue #1 You can change the wifi name and password of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHZ bands, but no way to change 6 GHz band at this time. First thing I do with Wifi is to change name and password for security reasons so this makes the 6 GHz band unusable at this time. Also, you have to go to the website to make these changes, there is no way to do this directly on the device. Note: This device is dual band. The options are: Dual Band (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Dual Band (2.4 GHz + 6 GHz), 2.4 GHz only, 5 GHz only, 6 GHz only. I would like to have a Dual Band (5 GHz + 6 GHz) but not a deal breaker. Issue #2 It does come with the lifetime 1 GB per month and a 10 GB starter. I pre-purchased another 10GB (good for 15 years). There is no way for the customer to choose the priority of which plan gets used first. I would like for the lifetime accumulated data to be used after I have run out of current paid plan, but they make you use the lifetime first until it is depleted. Issue #3 I had to sign up on their site to use the product, but when I go to their support site, my login doesn't work. Apparently their support site is a seperate site that requires another sign up. They do have a chat on the main site and I was able to get answers to my questions quickly. Once they make the change to be able to change the name and password for the 6 GHz band, I'll add another star back. If they decided to give the customer the ability to change when the 1 GB/month lifetime plan a prioity option, I'll add the other star back.

Great connectivity, easy set up and functionality!
I originally purchased this device as my home broadband had failed and I needed to stay online to work from home. It's a fabulous product, finding networks easily and the connection is stable. Even better is that you receive 1GB of data free per month, so if you are just needing something to keep you online and not downloading large files then you will not need to pay anything. I travel all over the world for business, and this has kept me online at pretty much every location. The app is simple to use and the various data packages are reasonable for what they are. I would recommend this for people who travel. I am now waiting for the 5G Solis Edge to find it's way to Amazon!

I liked it so much I bought a second one.
A friend recommended the Solis Hotspot to me, he said it was great for travelling overseas. Wow was he right! You arrive somewhere (Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Bahamas, so far) turn it on and within a minute it has connected to a local cell service and the internet is available through the hotspot. I bought the 4G rather than the 5G but even so I've had 2 phones, a laptop and an iPad connected at the same time and the performance was still good. This is for the second Solis I bought. I liked the first so much I bought a second. I have the renewal dates 12 days apart, so I can get 2GB spread pretty evenly through the month.
