Cool, but troublesome. So simple, there's just no room for complexity.
This is a sleek piece of tech with clear audio, solid range, and easy setup. Unfortunately, the manual is incomplete and doesn’t fully explain the functions. The biggest issue is with the advertised dual-channel support. While it technically allows two mics, both channels are locked into a single mono/stereo track. This means if the second speaker coughs or talks, it can completely cover the first person’s dialogue. Because the tracks are merged from the start, there’s no way to split them later in editing—an enormous problem for media production. I purchased the VPM20 “mobile version,” but the pictures on Amazon don’t fully match the product, and the included manual is vague. The “camera version” appears to offer better documentation and functionality, including the option to split channels. Unfortunately, the mobile version doesn’t provide this feature. Since my phone lacks a headphone jack, I rely on USB-C, but the receiver doesn’t allow track splitting. A simple firmware option or button on the receiver could solve this, but as it stands, the dual-channel support feels misleading. Unless I receive clarification or a fix from the manufacturer soon, I’ll be returning this unit and moving on to another solution. Other minor problem is with the design of the mic itself. It's surprisingly difficult to apply the windscreen to these tiny devices without triggering ON/OFF of the Noise Cancelation feature. Then once the fuzzy face cover goes over the whole assembly, which is completely unnecessary as the mic is only in one spot, I can't tell if noise cancellation is ON or OFF. Requiring me to mess with the windscreen again and again and again.

Not too shabby
The built in noise cancelation isn't the best but for the price I paid for these they were totally worth it, they work, have good range and good batter life, dont know if id pay full price, but they are quality for under 50 bucks

Very good budget microphone kit
This is a great budget microphone kit, I am quite happy with it for the price. It is on the budget side, so you do get what you pay for. But for what you pay, I think this is very good. First off it comes with a case, and everything fits inside, this is definitely very nice. I've been using microphones for a while. And this case comes very in handy. It's okay equality, but it will keep your microphone safe, and prevent him from being lost. The case looks very nice as well. The build quality is decent, cheaper, not robust in quality and durability. But if you don't abuse them, they should last a long time. They don't feel super cheap. And I don't believe they should break. I didn't have any trouble connecting them. I did have to take off my otterbox case on my phone, as this would not fit with the case on. Which seems typical of microphones like this. I did have to take the connection piece in and out of the phone a couple times or to start recording through the microphone, i'm not sure if that's related to my phone or the product. As another microphone I have did similar too. The sound quality is decent, not exceptional, but you would need to pay more for that anyway. So for what you pay for this is decent. Good enough for most amateur videos and social media videos. It sounds are too loud, occasionally they will sound weird, usually if only really loud. It is significantly better than a cheaper microphone,I had before. The wind muff seems to work ok, muffles the sound a little bit, but still can hear clearly. It is fairly easy to put on, took me a little bit, but not hard. The clip clips on well, and the magnet is strong to hold it onto your clothes. These are nice and small and are not too noticeable in your videos. Battery life seems to be good. They have stickers to put on the microphones, As well, which is a great addition. There is a simple black and then a white one, for more professional look. Then there's some more cute and vib ones.

Bluetooth Stopped Working
I bought this barely over a month ago and the Bluetooth just stopped working, along with the screen breaking out of the blue. The sound is good if the Bluetooth actually worked. I have to use the usb-c receiver to make it work, which for me defeats the purpose because I want to use it with my camera. Also the shape is annoying to deal with. I would return this if I could but it’s just barely out of the return range. Update: The seller was very responsive and gave a full refund. The product should work, but if it doesn’t, they will refund you.

Great for the price!
Product Review: Donner Wireless Lavalier Microphone VPM-20 (Mobile Version) 1. First Impression: Wireless lavalier microphones are a game-changer for content creation on mobile devices, so I was excited to try the Donner VPM-20. The compact charging case and the dual-channel capability immediately caught my attention. My initial impression was positive – the case is sleek, and the microphones themselves look professional. 2. Pros: * Truly Wireless and Convenient: The wireless design is incredibly convenient for mobile recording. No more tangled cables! The microphones clip on easily, and the connection to my phone (via USB-C) was seamless. * Dual-Channel Recording: The dual-channel feature is fantastic for interviews or recording two people simultaneously. Having separate audio tracks gives you much more flexibility in post-production. * Compact Charging Case: The charging case is small and portable, making it easy to carry the microphones with you. It also doubles as a storage case, which is very convenient. * Plug-and-Play Simplicity: Setting up the microphones was incredibly easy. I just plugged the receiver into my phone, turned on the microphones, and they were ready to go. No complicated pairing process or software required. * Decent Sound Quality (for Mobile): The sound quality is surprisingly good for a mobile wireless microphone system. The audio is clear and crisp, with minimal background noise. It's not going to replace a professional studio microphone, but it's a significant upgrade over my phone's built-in mic. * Noise Cancellation (Effective Enough): The noise cancellation does a decent job of reducing background noise, though it's not perfect. It's definitely noticeable and helpful for recording in less-than-ideal environments. * Long Battery Life: The advertised 40-hour battery life seems accurate. I used the microphones for several hours on a single charge, and they showed no signs of dying. 3. Cons: * Range (Not Quite 1000ft): The 1000ft range claim is, shall we say, optimistic. I tested the range, and while it's definitely impressive, I didn't get anywhere near 1000ft. I'd say a realistic range is closer to 100-200ft, which is still plenty for most mobile recording scenarios. * Wind Noise: The included windscreens are helpful, but they're not very effective in strong winds. You'll definitely need something more robust if you're recording outdoors in windy conditions. * Occasional Dropouts: I did experience occasional audio dropouts, especially when there were obstacles between the microphones and the receiver. This wasn't a frequent occurrence, but it's something to be aware of. * USB-C Only: While USB-C is becoming more common, the fact that this system is only USB-C limits its compatibility with older devices. 4. Overall Thoughts: The Donner VPM-20 is a fantastic wireless lavalier microphone system for mobile content creators. The dual-channel recording, ease of use, and decent sound quality make it a great value for the price. While the range is exaggerated and there are occasional dropouts, the pros far outweigh the cons. 5. Suggestions for Improvement: * Be Realistic About the Range: Stop with the exaggerated range claims. Be honest about the actual range of the microphones. * Improve Windscreen Effectiveness: Include more effective windscreens for outdoor recording. * Minimize Dropouts: Improve the signal stability to minimize audio dropouts. * Offer Lightning Adapter (Optional): Consider offering a Lightning adapter for iPhone users who don't have USB-C ports. 6. Recommendation: I highly recommend the Donner VPM-20 to anyone who creates content on their mobile devices. It's a great way to improve the audio quality of your videos and interviews. Just be aware of the limitations regarding range and potential dropouts. For the price, it's an excellent investment.

My Go To Phone Mic Set
I recently picked up the Donner Wireless Lavalier Microphone VPM-20 system, a great choice for mobile content creators, bloggers, and interviewers who need portable and reliable audio. They offer a low-latency transmission, 48kHz CD-quality audio, dual-channel recording, and 40 hours of battery life. It also includes plug-and-play functionality with no app needed, which makes it extremely beginner-friendly. ✅ Pros: Easy Plug-and-Play Setup: No app or complicated pairing required — great for beginners. Good Audio Quality: 48kHz CD-level sound quality delivers clear and crisp recordings for mobile content. Dual-Channel Recording: Supports two microphones recording at the same time, perfect for interviews or podcasts. Long Battery Life: Up to 40 hours of battery life, plus a portable charging case to keep everything powered. Strong Wireless Range: Stable transmission up to a decent distance. Compact and Lightweight: Easy to clip onto clothing without being heavy or bulky. Compatibility: Works with both iPhones and Android phones (USB-C and Lightning adapters included). Affordable Price Point: Great value for beginners and semi-professional users. ❌ Cons: Limited Manual Settings: You’re left to the built-in noise cancellation. Primarily for Mobile Devices: Not a great fit if you're looking for a system mainly for DSLRs or XLR audio setups. Overall, the Donner VPM-20 is a great pickup for any phone content creator who requires reliable, good quality audio, long battery life, easy plug-and-play setup, hard charging case, and easy pack-and-go hard-shell carry case.

Not bad but also not great
Working pretty well for my daughter. She likes that they are small and lightweight. Connecting was a bit of a pain on the Chromebook; she needs to use the included dongle, but she did get it done. The sound quality is okay for her; it does pick up white noise. She has stopped using it in favor of an easier-to-connect option. If I needed it, I would use it regularly because it is decent overall.

Excellent Quality and Above Average Functionality
Pros -Easy pairing 10-20 seconds -Good mic quality and decent ANC -Plug and Play -Charging and soft storage case included -Excellent range (when there aren’t obstructions) -Solid magnetic clip and touch button features -Good price to value when using a coupon -Works with iOS and Android Cons -Not top-quality mic and ANC -Price without coupon is on the higher end Overall (4.6 stars) What you’re getting is a decent to above average quality portable recording mic. Using the mic is intuitive as most functions are accomplished by touch. The charge case will give you roughly 3 full charges with 8-10 hours of actual use time. The one drawback is it takes over 2 hours to fully recharge the mics in the case. Pairing is via touch control, as well as mute on and off. You can use the app as well to control the mics. The sound quality is above average to excellent for indoor conditions with little to no sound. Outside and lots of background noise and these are average to slightly above average. They do a decent job of trying to prevent/block background noise. What you’re getting is above average build quality and materials. Easy pairing and usage, generally above average sound quality and recording. Plus throw in the charging case, the soft cover case with a soft foam pelican style holding for the charge case, and plenty of accessories. This is an absolute buy for anyone looking for a mobile lavalier solution.
