Does this plate block the battery door for the Canon RP?

I am using Nikon D7200's and I can tell you that they battery door is not blocked on those. I do believe these we all designed to accommodate the battery access. The plate assembly has some side to side play in the final position on the bottom of the camera.

would this work with a peak design capture camera clip v3 mounting plate also?

No, the Peak Design clip will not work with Cotton Carrier. Cotton Carrier is so much better that the Peak Design version...IMHO.

Is this the new design or the old?

Not sure what the difference is between new and old, but I just checked the Cotton Carrier site and this is exactly the same as what is currently shown for sale by them.

Will this also work to mount the CC bino harness to a tripod?
