If you have multiple units and they all go off, will hushing one unit turn them all off or do you have to hush every unit individually?

When the alarms are going off, there is always one that is going off and setting off all of the others. WIth the P4010 wireless alarms, that originating alarm setting off all of the others will have a green light flashing every second while all of the alarms are going off.  This will be the alarm you will want to HUSH.  This is done intentionally so that you will examine the area where the alarm is before you hush the alarm and the system.

These alarms also have a locate feature on them. From the owner's manual:

In an interconnected system (all units will be alarming together), a unit that detects smoke or CO and initiates an alarm is called the “initiating alarm unit.” Initiating alarm units will be flashing the Green LED every second during alarm. Depending on unit locations, and the location of the source of smoke or CO, it is possible to have more than one initiating unit. If you suspect a nuisance alarm situation, you can use this feature to help you locate the initiating alarm unit(s) in a wireless alarm interconnect system. Push the button on any non-initiating wireless unit, and ALL wireless units EXCEPT the initiating alarm unit(s) will silence for two minutes. You can use the LOCATE feature repeatedly until you find the initiating alarm unit(s), or the air has been cleared of the condition causing the alarm.

Can it run with out being hardwired in

Hello. This alarm has to be hardwired in and the battery is only a backup battery.  It will definitely last more than a week but will not last the whole ten years on battery alone. Probably somewhere around weeks to months, possibly years. Mine lasted 5 months and then started having false alarms at all hours of the day or night. 3 days later another unit started doing the same thing. I’d get your money back if you can
