Purchased the actuator to open/close a side window on my boat. I tested this with a 12V supply and I'm impressed with the consistent motion, automatic stop limits at each end of the stroke.I will follow up with additional comments after I install it and it has been operating. It is waterproof, however Im curious to see how it performs in a salt-air environment. It will also most likely get sprayed with salt water from time to time so I believe this will be a worst-case test.

Every Once in a while this unit will not work it hesitates it does it about every 4th or 5th stroke I'm not sure if it's ever going to get better or if this is something that is going to stay with this unit

Precise and solid design working perfectly for my needs

Found the end connection points to be undersized for my application. Repetitive motion will be a challenge for what is provided in the unit design. Plastic may not be durable enough. Will order a larger Rated force unit with the same stroke with more heavy duty endpoint connectors.

Used this to make an electronic chute height adjuster for my snowblower. Works great!

4" versionThis has a high-pitched wine the whole time it is running. I wish they could make it quieter. But it works well and does what it is supposed to do. Fairly slow.For the price, the mounting kit should be included.
