Very good book for tabla learners. The theoretical part and practical part are explained very well. The vaious taals, its tukdas, mukras, tehais are written in a simple language. Every tabla lovers must posses the book.

This book is really wonderful... all tabla theory written in this book is very useful to all beginner and advance level students of tabla.. pt. Sadanand ji is great tabla maestro who written this book. He has deply knowledge of practical performance and theory too.. !

Nicely written for the music learners. It would have been great though if it had detailed layari notated for every taal, for proper understanding.

theory part is too strong and practical part is too perfect.any tabla student will frequently buy this book for be a good tabla player.pt. sadanand naimpalii is a awesome teacher

Having a Hindi version is much better if you can understand Hindi.It introduces history more than the Tals.
