Paper Pro Move - Leather Folio Bundle | Ultraportable Colour 7.3" Paper Tablet with Marker Plus Pen with Eraser, and a Book Folio Cover in Black Leather

I already have a Remarkable2 tablet which I use every day at work as I burn through paper notebooks so fast. I was looking for a slightly more pocketable version for a conference and this did the trick nicely as it has a low level backlight which is perfect in a dark auditorium with a brightly lit stage, as one is still able to take notes without blinding and distracting other attendees. It syncs perfectly with the existing connectivity subscription (you are allowed upto 5 devices). The only downside is the rather eye-watering price, but the utility is worth it for my use case. The writing feel is actually better than the Remarkable2. The markers are not interchangeable between them, as the R2 is passive and the R Move is active and charges whilst magnetically docked. The addition of colour is a nice to have. Amazon were doing a bundle with the marker+ and a folio cover through Barclays on 0% interest in early April, so that sealed the deal for me.

Amazing - moving from the Remarkable 2 this is a much more convenient size. The backlight is a welcome addition and the new stylus is much more responsive and it feels much closer to writing. The colours for highlighting are limited even though the device itself is capable of reproducing thousands of shades but will likely be tweaked in future software updates. As a side note, comics look amazing on this display and really suit the e-ink style.

I use this device every day and love it, but there are a couple of things I don't like about it. The device is mainly great and writing is easy and clear, with different pen and colour options, although don't expect a large pallet of colours to use. I primarily use mine for notes and scribbling ideas. The size is perfect for my need and can easily fit in a pocket when I'm moving between desk and office. I don't tend to use the back light to often as my office is fairly bright and its not needed, however when I have used it, its worked well. The battery life is good last around 1 to 2 weeks before I need to charge it. The stylus is comfortable to use and write with, however one of my complaints is the nib of the stylus. Whilst it's good to write with when new, I do find it wears down fairly quickly. I've adjusted how I write as I know I usually press fairly hard when writing, but even now I've lightened my writing style, it still only last around a month. Maybe that is good but other pens I've used like the Apple Pen have lasted a lot longer. While the device is primarily great, I do find it can be slow to move between pages, but then I have found that with all e-ink devices I've used in the past. Keep this in mind if you need to create and name a new notebook quickly. The PC software could also be better, but then I rarely use it.

This is very bad. It s too slow, you have to wait 1sec everytime you want to change a page, in 2025 i am sure the technology can be better. Waste of money.

I’ve waited a while before writing the review. So first of all, I work in software engineering, my usage is limited to writing down notes of meetings, coding, reviews of upcoming work and so on. I also write down notes from books I read that I would like to build an idea of my own on top of it. I barely use color but when I do, it’s for specific meanings. I do not draw or use complex templates, although some might be interesting to explore later. The reason why I bought this is because I generally jump between context a lot, making my notes messy. The option to move from one side to another allows me to revisit and reorder as I see fit. Having folders and notebooks helps me to be more organised as well. The size is what prevented me from buying it before, being honest the format looked weird but when actually using it, I had no trouble at all, I am one that prefers to jump from one line to another than having long sentences taking a huge width. The battery is not an issue for me as it lasts at least one full week. It has been a really nice experience overall except from ocasional ghosting persisting a bit more than expected or loosing color at a given refresh, but nothing that persisted more than a couple of minutes (as screen keeps refreshing). I had the big brother before which I returned because of the weight and portability, and it’s true that performance wise is better but not that I miss it or that I can’t live without it comparing to the fact that I actually can move the device from office to house to coffee shop and much more.
