The front camera records in 4K, and the footage is noticeably sharp—license plates, street signs, and details at night are all very clear. The rear 1080p camera is also solid and provides good coverage. One of my favorite features is the solar charging. It actually reduces how often I need to plug the dash cam in, especially when my car is parked outdoors during the day. The built-in battery holds up well, and the parking-monitoring mode works reliably without draining my car battery. Setup was straightforward, and the app connection is smooth. Downloading clips is fast, and the interface is simple to navigate. The camera also has a compact design, so it doesn’t block the windshield or feel bulky. Overall, the Baseus VD1 Pro is a great choice if you want a high-resolution, easy-to-use dash cam with the extra convenience of solar charging. It offers excellent value for the features and performance it provides.

This Baseus dashcam has been a really nice upgrade for my car. The solar powering feature is what I like the most since it helps keep it running without me having to think about charging or dealing with extra wires, which is really convenient for daily use. The design is clean and simple, and it blends in well without looking bulky or distracting. It was easy to set up and has been working reliably since I installed it. I’ve been using the Baseus VD1 Pro Solar Dash Cam in my car day and night, and it has been a great addition. The front and rear camera setup gives me extra peace of mind, especially on longer trips. The video quality is very clear, and the night vision works well when driving after dark. I also like that it includes a 32 GB card, GPS, WiFi, and voice control, which makes it feel complete right out of the box. The parking mode is another great feature, especially if you want added protection when the car is parked.

Absolutely horrible directions! The English words weren’t even spelled correctly. If I had known that it was going to be as difficult as it was to set up, I would have chosen a different product. In the direction pamphlet, it tells you to download the app, and the next step is to connect the app to the unit in your car. There are about 30 different steps in between those two instructions that you have to do though or it won’t connect. It took myself and my college educated son nearly two hours to set it up. There are no troubleshooting tips, or directions on what to do if it doesn’t connect. Additionally, it didn’t come with any sticky clips like most other dash cams come with to help with installing the cords. Also, in order to access any of the footage on your app, you actually have to be in the car and RE-PAIR it to the device every single time! So, you can’t access any of the info on your app anywhere else unless you are in the car with the car running. So, if you are in an accident and your car gets towed, you won’t have access to the app or the footage. That absolutely defeats the purpose!!

Overall this dash cam is a good product. Build quality feels solid and installation was very easy. I also like that it doesn’t require wiring directly to the car battery, and the parking mode work perfectly. The front camera works well. Daytime video quality is very good, and at night it’s decent. With good lighting it can capture nearby details, but things farther away can look a bit distorted, which is expected. The main issue is the rear camera. During the day it looks noticeably darker than the front camera. It’s still usable, but the difference is obvious. At night it’s the real problem — unless there’s direct light from another car or a lamp, it’s basically too dark to see much. Most of the time the rear camera is almost useless at night. Not sure if my unit is defective or if they’re all like this. And Also my unit come with no SD card When the box says its included, I need to use one that i have at home.

This dashcam is exactly what I needed for my daily commute. The video quality is clear, even when driving at night. Installation took only a few minutes. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable camera for their car.

I'm so excited to have my first dash cam! There are so many reasons to have one, and this seems like a really solid model. The picture is clear, and the controls are easy to figure out. The package came with everything promised, and an instruction manual. The on-screen instructions/prompts help for set up, as well, especially for connectivity. I like that this camera integrates with an app, and that the app works on my older iPhone! I like the charging options, and the ability to export footage. The storage capacity should be plenty for any specific needs. I'm happy with the value of this device, and feel that it increases my car's security. It's also a confidence booster, making me feel more prepared for anything on the road that might need video evidence. Dark window tint may be an obvious factor in what the rear camera can see, but both the front and rear cameras are capable of quality picture generation. I look forward to exploring the options more, over time. I generally feel like my car just got a great upgrade!
