I saw a few of the golf specific clubmaker rulers, which looked basically like a 48 inch straight edge with markings for standard/recommend club lengths. The Empire 4004 has markings for 48 inches in 1/16" increments as well as 1/8" increments. The 1/8" increments makes it very easy to mark and cut golf shafts, especially when you have to cut an additional 1/8" to account for the end of the golf grip. The Empire 4004 is less expensive than the golf-specific rulers. My 4004 arrived with some dings and markings from storage and shipment at desertcart, but it is still very straight. Overall: 5/5 stars, inexpensive and perfect as a golf club length ruler. Review: Very sturdy, lightweight tool - I needed a yardstick/straightedge tool, this fit the bill perfectly! Shipped in a packing tube, it arrived quickly and in great condition. It's made of a fairly thick aluminum stock with easy to read increments, and certainly is straight as an arrow. I've used it to cut drawer liners for tool boxes, kitchen shelf liners, small construction and home repair projects, I'm very pleased with this tool. ## Features - Length: 48 Inch - Material: Aluminum - Width: 2 Inch - Graduation: Inch - Heavy-duty aluminum frame for strength ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00004YYFV | | Best Sellers Rank | #406,674 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #681 in Levels | | Brand | Empire | | Brand Name | Empire | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 112 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00015812040045 | | Included Components | Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge | | Item Dimensions L x W | 48"L x 2"W | | Item Type Name | Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge | | Item Weight | 1.1 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Empire Level | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Model | 4004 | | Part Number | 4004 | | Product Dimensions | 48"L x 2"W | | Style | Straight Edge | | Style Name | Straight Edge | | UPC | 015812040045 158120400405 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Warranty Description | Manufacturer Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Empire - **Color:** White - **Material:** Aluminum - **Product Dimensions:** 48"L x 2"W - **Style:** Straight Edge ## Images ![Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31NHbTLRlxL.jpg) ![Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31nSP0TfxwL.jpg) ![Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31qH4k5HF4L.jpg) ![Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41e6Hs9z8nL.jpg) ![Empire Level 4004 48-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31HJJT++3tL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect as a golf club length ruler, inexpensive and well made with 1/16" and 1/8" increments *by C***O on December 15, 2013* I purchased this straight edge specifically to use as a golf club length ruler. It is nicely finished, clearly marked and perfect for bigger jobs. It would be even better if it had a thin cork or rubber backing, but it is still a good buy. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/768090-empire-level-4004-48-inch-aluminum-straight-edge](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/768090-empire-level-4004-48-inch-aluminum-straight-edge) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
